Trials is the best example. In every post that has useful suggestions to improve trials and make it more enjoyable there are people that say it should be hard and only for the best of the best. Why? This is a video game and not a championship sport or a doctors degree.
Content should be a challenging, but not undoable

I hardly play the game but managed to get flawless gilded, you don't need a masters degree, you just need to actually keep trying, hell there were weeks were my team couldn't even get it cause things were too hectic and that's ok
-
Honestly, if Bungie doesn't manage to fix Trials when that overhaul comes to it... they might as well vault it or never update it again. It's a waste of resources at this point.
-
it's a game, made for people to compete. good competitors make it difficult for weak players to keep up. fault is on the weaker player. just because there is a mode in the game doesn't mean that you as a player are cut out for it or deserve the rewards from it.

it does, what life do you lead where those who can't do are on top? those who can always do, those who can't complain about those who can.

I'm really tired of seeing this opinion. Nobody want's only sweat lords to play trials. Even the sweat lords themselves. High level players enjoy challenge, but would prefer to not have to 3 peek and sweat their asses off every single game. Medium level players would like to actually go flawless every once and a while. Low tier players would like to have some loot. The problem now is the negative sentiment surrounding trials that is basically never going to go away. How are you supposed to get people playing the mode again when there was an entire years worth of youtube content/forum posts that said "This mode is full of cheaters, and hardcore sweats". This caused normal people to play less, which only made that statement even more true. Now. As for you questioning why something should be a challenge in a video game let me explain to you what the point of a video game is. Some video games are challenges, and some video games area party games, and some are simulators. Destiny 2 has been, and always will be a challenge game. Remove the challenge, and nothing feels like it's worth doing. It's not Bungie's fault that you're worse at PvP than another real life person.

I love seeing streamers get aggravated because games from 1-7 are a sweat match each and every round. They don’t want to keep running their heads in the wall just as much as everyone else. The ones who profit the most by keeping it hard are the paid carriers
-
Having an irrational hatred for streamers is another dumb opinion that I'm tired of seeing.
-
It’s a video game about space aliens I want to have fun not throw my controller in the wall lol
-
What you want is not what everyone else wants and if bungie makes 1 out of the 3 Playlists for sweats and try hards there should be no complaints. The fixes for trials to be better will not include matchmaking adjustments as the issue is its not rewarding enough for casuals. Any other fixes would result in something as popular as trials of the nine
-
Then don't play trials. Some people enjoy being challenged against other players. Others prefer to be challenged against AI with friends. It doesn't matter. The rewards from trials aren't good enough to warrant this huge amount of whining from people. In addition. Destiny 2 is not just a video game about space aliens. PvP is another huge factor of the games replay-ability. A lot of people purely play PvE so they can get good weapons that shred in PvP. PvE hardly cares what weapons you use. It's mainly "Do you have the correct exotic? Yes? Cool you win then.".

I been playing destiny since the beginning I’m not new to destiny at all and I play pvp I got lunas howl recluse and mountain top I earned those weapons and it was a blast to play pvp to get them but trials suck and I’m not the only one mist of the community agrees I’m glad you fine it fun but for most of us it sucks
-
I don't find it fun. I think it's shit. But it's not the modes fault, it's the fact that the playerbase for it is so small. Like I stated in my original comment. Trials has a huge negative sentiment surrounding it. Mid tier players basically never touch it because they rarely have a chance of winning. The reason I don't complain about it though is that I can't think of a way that would get more people into trials. Cheaters already ruined it. There's no reason to even try anymore, because literally everyone in Destiny thinks of it as a place to go lose and waste time.

then don't attempt activities you feel compelled to throw controllers in. do the parts that are fun to you and of your capability, easy solution.
-
I don’t play trials but play everything else trials is just not fun content pro and it is to elitist for me I’ll leave it to the sweats and hackers
-
then you have no issue.
-
Exactly I just liked to put my two cents in
-
okay, as pointless as it was. you put it in.
-
Bro don’t be offended but it’s not just me that feels that way toward trials . That’s why bungie said there gonna change it the numbers don’t lie less and less ppl playing trials I’m sorry if I mad you sad
-
Guy arguing with you was an idiot
-
Wtf are you talking about?
-
You obviously got offended bye what I said but I’m just saying the truth brother I love destiny and I want it to be the best but trials in it’s currant state sucks
-
where do you get I was offended from? what imaginary world? if you don't play an activity that makes you want to throw your controller, you have no issue, hence me saying as such. your initial comment was proven pointless. how you feel about the activity is irrelevant, and thinking I'm offended is stupid.
-
Why do you wanna cry lol I think you’re a little offended
-
thinking is clearly not what you seem capable of doing. tell yourself what you need to make it through the day.
