raid lairs are raids, really have no idea why they slapped the "lair" part on.
-
Because EoW is only 2 actual encounters. That is why it is a lair. And raid lair is a different area than the base raids.
-
You can say the same thing about most raids, the encounters may not be exciting, but they are encounters nevertheless. Eater of Worlds has 4 encounters, the first 2 are very boring, but are still encounters. Was Crota's End a raid lair? What about Scourge of the Past? Both of these are shorter than Eater of Worlds. I'm not defending EoW because it is absolutely the worst raid in Destiny, but when talking about raids in Destiny, it is definitely a raid.
-
Raid lair = another area of a raid.
-
So you are using the same classification Bungie used when first describing Raid lairs, which is fine. I try not to worry about those symantics because all non-September raids have typically been shorter, I think of them as shorter raids, but still raids. Although not I'm curious, what about Crown of Sorrow? They did not call that a raid lair, but it is on the Leviathan. What say you?
-
They actually did call it a raid lair. Its even listed as a raid lair.
-
https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47917 They do not call it a raid lair anywhere, they specifically call it a raid several times. Maybe you are just misinformed, because I saw you doing a similar thing saying Scourge of the Past would not be vaulted even though they clearly say there will be 3 raids available in September. It doesn't really matter, I just wanted to know your thoughts, you think it is a raid lair, which is fine. I consider them all raids, but that's just me.

Scourge is also leaving, makes 5
-
Except no one said it is being removed.
-
Leaving = removed ??? "There will be 4 raids playable in Year 4: -Last Wish -Garden of Salvation -Deep Stone Crypt -Vault of Glass (later in Y4)" Rough quote, but their wording is VERY close to that. I do remember them using the words "four raids will be playable" specifically. I.E. Scourge will be removed.
-
Except nothing like that was ever said.
-
On June 9th, 2020, Bungie posted a news article titled "Building a Viable Future in Destiny 2." Under the section titled "Year 4 Destiny Content Vault Preview" and subsection "Other Key Year 4 Details," Bungie said the following:
There will be three raids playable this fall, including a new one set in the Deep Stone Crypt on Europa as part of the Beyond Light Expansion.
3 raids in the fall: 1. Deep Stone Crypt 2. Last Wish (we know this is staying) 3. Garden of Salvation (we know this is staying) Scourge would make 4, therefore not staying. I understand how it can be hard to see how them indirectly saying it will go away can be hard to understand if you can't read very well or have only a few braincells to work with, but hopefully now you get it :)
-
It reads as 3 added raids. Not 3 total.
-
It doesn't, but okay.
-
Edited by Corrick II: 7/6/2020 4:33:01 PMNot specifically, but it’s a case of admission by omission. They’ve stated that only two raids will remain from old content plus one new one, and scourge of the past was not included in those three.
-
They said 3 raids will be added. Not 3 will remain.
-
Edited by Corrick II: 7/6/2020 4:25:43 PMThree raids will be available, including a new one. So 2 raids, plus the Stone Crypt. Vault will be added later in year 4. Garden and Last Wish are the likely candidates for the other 2, considering their weapons and armor aren’t being sunsetted and they’re the biggest raids we have besides Leviathan. The three other activities being added back are the Cosmodrome strikes. Basic process of elimination. But I’ll admit, until we know for sure we don’t know for sure, so I guess we’ll see what happens in a couple months.
-
They're raids. They function exactly the same and raid statistics encompasses all the activities.
-
they should really remove guided games ' because the whole idea of the system is rather "pointless" to the contrary.
-
Or at least make it so that I can guide 5 randoms by myself 🙄 I totally would just for something to do at this point.
