Is Destiny 2 YouTube material?

I was just wondering if it's worth like, recording destiny 2 for YT. Strikes, 100k nightfall, wheres xur? Raids, crucible, iron banner? Idk much cause it's hard to grab your audience and harder to make videos. Thanks for anyone who helps, this is not for promoting purposes.

  • the one market for destiny that isn’t really tapped at all is the funny meme videos. only about 2 channels i know do it regularly (Marcostyle and Chibi) Guide videos, Build videos and new are all pretty well covered.

    • Good luck I won’t watch. Already get my news from people I have grown to like over 6 years. Might be hard to get in there. I occasionally click on people that only have a couple hundred or thousand subscribers and think wow, must be hard to be an internet star.

You can probably use Houndish and Mesa Sean as examples. They were still doing positive style videos during the end of year 1 D2, probably the slowest times in D2. They had the audience of players when Forsaken was launched. Now they have blown up and probably can live off of the revenue from the videos. Youtube isn't easy though. To succeed, you will probably want to be an attractive female, be extremely skilled in PvP or can solo difficult content, or be entertaining. good luck.

        • Make what videos you want to make. Put your best foot forward and make the content you're proud of. Don't be afraid to get mean/shit comments and stuff cuz it's the internet, it's gonna happen anyway. The hard truth about YouTube is that everything is based on Luck. You could make the best videos in the entire world, but if the algorithm doesn't pick you, your essentially screwed. Some YouTubers just read over news and stuff. Look at Houndish, the dude will literally just recut a 30 second trailer into an 8 minute video and just read off topics from Reddit and other websites... It's a real grind. Heck you could make a crap video and it somehow hits big with the algorithm and your channel blows up overnight. It's ridiculous really.

          • It depends on what you wanna make honestly. Some people enjoy guides, some people enjoy watching others do stupid shit, some people like videos about secrets. If you already have a following it'll be easier to start up, but if not it'll be a little slow. I would recommend just doing what YOU wanna do and don't do things that you dislike cuz it'll definitely show at some point.
