I can no longer stay.
My weapons, my armors. I have spent time collecting what I wanted and I ascended those equipment since day one, replacing my lost gear from Destiny. Sure it wasn't the same but it was my stuff. But now? Now I have wasted money through seasonal passes. Thirty dollars may not sound like much, or the hours and days spent grinding from One to One-hundred... But those items? They now lose meaning with the idea of Sun Setting. I will not sit here and be insulted in this manner. To grind for armor and lose it the next season over and neither should you. It makes me lose my uniqueness, what separates me from others in appearance and play style and with only ornaments to hide just my armor and not my sorrow for lost weapons.
Et tu, Bungie. I have been loyal at your side since the very beginning. From Marathon to Halo, to forgotten projects and here, Destiny. You promised me that I would be unique, I gave you my support and blind loyalty. No longer. These eyes are open to this gross negligence and treason. I am sorry, my oldest friend. But you have become something I can no longer follow.

7 RepliesSunsetting only effects light enabled activities you can still use your stuff in 80% of the game once sunsetting becomes a thing. This also happened in d1. And garden of salvation and last wish gear will be less effected so I would recommend getting your hands on good rolls of those things

Even though you can’t stay, Funny story: Remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team to blow up the Dreadnaught's core. Core goes... most of the system goes with it. You're going to make sure that doesn't happen.

12 RepliesOnly thing u cant use ur weapons and armor in is end game activities. Your gear is still viable throughout the rest of the game like daily strikes and crap so I dont know why everyone is complaining. The fact that half the community dont realize what the overload of weapons does to the meta is mind boggling. The armor I dont understand because it has no real effect on the game plus they are releasing transmog, but the weapons. I have like 100 gold rolls just sitting in my vault cause I have no use for them cause they are either underpowered due to the nerfs or buffs of other weapons. I'm ready to clear my vault. I want a weapon worth my time using and I'll be ok when it goes away for something new. Now bungie can make more powerful pve weapons worth or time grinding that will be unique.

Can’t wait to see all the apologists here complain about little variety of weapons after sunset, and the new weapons perk pools being garbage, in an attempt to skew the meta (I can already see that all the new weapons will NOT be able to roll with both a damage and reload perk, like the sereph weapons this season). Everyone is so sure we’ll get a new “recluse,” Tell me. Is bungie REALLY going to try to make that? They hate ANYTHING that’s OP. They’ll never attempt to go that far again, as much as you people desire that. Get ready for a nice big dose of reality everyone. There won’t be anything better then what we have now. You can try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I can guarantee that your going to hate the new items.

Bungie will keep bumping up power level req’s with each season till the gear they are sunsetting won’t be useable in any part of the game. They did this in D1 and I I’d be shocked if it doesn’t happen in D2 but remember.... “ Sunsetting doesn’t effect you because you don’t play endgame content”
