It automatically makes all loot I get less special knowing it will soon become useless.

I have lost any drive to play this game at all
-
Yup. I’m completely over this pile of shit. Literally deleted D2 to make space an hour ago
-
1 ReplyOh for sure. I've also lost complete faith in Bungo, considering they introduced the infusion system in D1 to alleviate this problem, and now are creating it simply to create longetivity for the game in the most lazy way possible. Its terrible game design. If Bungo's expansions were on par with say, Capcom's for Monster Hunter... the size of the entire vanilla game, or even their $10 season's were on par with Gearbox's DLCs, which are roughly the size of like 3 or so Seasons, then it'd be a totally different story. Even still, its a stupid idea, both weapon and armor sunsetting... the former because of the aforementioned regressed game design, and the latter because they have absolutely no good reason to do it except force a stupid grind on us, with hopes of more Silver transmog sales.
-
Nope.
-
5 RepliesYup, no point in grinding 🤷
-
Once I found out they were sunsetting armor I quit playing.
-
I stoped playing right after i read the TWAB.
-
Depends on the loot and how long/hard the chase is. Our gear has been made obsolete several times since the start of Destiny 1; that part doesn't bother me. But I don't want to grind a bunch more boring/old activities to get the new gear. How well putting a higher power cap on new gear goes over is going to depend largely on how difficult and fun it is to acquire it.
-
A bit, yes
-
2 RepliesI can get over weapons and I understand the argument of needing to sunset them even though I’d rather they didn’t...But why armour? I’m literally just getting to a point where my stats are near what I want them and it’s took me this long to get them that way (rng). If We are going to have to constantly change armour then they need to make infusing/master working cheaper and high stat armour drop more consistently.
-
Yep. Haven't bothered with the lie quest and only played one day since the twab and that was because my clan guilted me into it.
-
You are making way too much of this. Bungie has already been making loot useless, since the beginning. You still play, don't you? The only difference now is you will have blanket nerfs and they won't be sneaky about it anymore. As long as they keep good loot flowing, sun setting won't make a difference.
-
Ya, I have been grabbing what exotics I have left to aquire without raid .. when Diablo 4 and Halo 6 arrive, I can't see myself playing the current or even projected next installment of destiny.. I had fun, D1 is one of my top 5 games of all time overall.. D2, while interesting and certainly worth praying, the diminishing return on intrinsic value was a lot sooner than I had hoped for.
-
3 RepliesThis game is a total dumpster fire 🔥, run while you can.
-
It automatically makes all loot I get less special knowing it will soon become useless.
Of course.

I logged in yesterday to play a bit but logged out after one match of Gambit. I realized every weekly reset the flash points mainly have low power level engrams that are 18 levels below my max. I thought, what's the point of running them if they're are only there for me to dismantle them.
-
Only loot I care about is well rolled armour from garden and last wish since it has more longevity. Other than that yeah
-
I did most of my pinnacle quests last season. I basically ran out of stuff to do and decided what the heck I'll do these. It was fun even though I didn't love all the guns. In the future the motivation to do something like that is much less. Pinnacle quests will be pure FOMO: Get this now, enjoy it for a while and then it'll be sunset to oblivion. If they do Pinnacle quests anymore at all... they were a bit weird, honestly, legendary weapons that were really non-exotic exotics, better than many real exotics.

I lost incentive to log in, that enough?
-
I think Destiny is a great game but the proposed changes will make me play differently. I will not buy into the endless grind just do what i want then leave, if that adds progress to something fine but no play to grind.
-
Got everything I'd use and got my time out of it. I'm lacking incentive to play because the content currently isn't worth the time right now. At least with Sundial I could enjoy the fights and help people. Sundial's drawback was it's boss fight. Inotam should've been the boss from day 1.

1 ReplyEdited by grubmcneill: 5/18/2020 8:43:39 PMI feel a bit cheated about not being able to use the pinnacle guns that I grinded my butt off for. At this stage I’m not planning on buying the next expansion anyway, but man I’d be hesitant in spending months grinding out weapons to not be able to use it down the track.
-
Ive lost incentive to play
-
Yup it's like why would I farm or even grind staff when I know soon I won't be able to use it in nightfall and raids
