1 ReplyWhat, instantly committing suicide isn’t how it’s supposed to work? What did it used to work like?
I don’t even use Nova Warp anymore after what they’ve done to that subclass. Here’s a few clips showing how good HHSN works now: 1. https://xboxclips.co/myth1cal-sn1per/e14c37a1-729a-42b8-9d48-d5a0c16392c4 2. https://xboxclips.co/myth1cal-sn1per/6c00577a-85c2-47a5-8140-269a02a4131e
1 ReplyJust like shoulder charge. Welcome to the club.

1 ReplyNah it’s balanced now

2 RepliesYou need to learn to let go of broken crutches.

4 RepliesAm I the only one who notices how every time Bungie nerfs Warlocks, they completely and utterly destroy whatever they nerf. Case in point HHSN and back then it was Nova warp.

5 RepliesEdited by Babajeeds: 5/4/2020 10:54:25 PMThe nerf was needed. I'm fine with the increased charge time, but the self damage is way too much. It doesn't do a small amount of damage in close quarters. It straight up kills you if you're anywhere near the explosion.
-
Yup, bungie REFUSE’S to balance warlocks with any thought, Novawarp got absolutely murdered, HHSN got absolutely murdered(though it did need to be toned down), yet bungie took 3 separate nerfs to slowly dial in OEM, they took months to even slightly adjust refrigerator hands spectral blades, hard-light was a problem and they balanced it just fine, they've proved they can balance sh*t accordingly, they just CHOSE they’re not going to take more then 2 seconds to balance warlocks, it took 2 1/2 F*cking years to get nova bomb to proc devour, it’ll probably take another 2 to give it a blast radius buff, yet blade barrage roams around freely with tracking, a insanely large area coverage, virtually no chance of killing yourself, no animation and no escape for anyone that it gets casted on.
-
Just like every time Bungie decides to nerf something warlocks have, they overnerf it and completely destroy it. Just like they did with Novawarp. They nerfed the spread of the grenade. The charge time. The range. The exotic that's associated with it. .....ANNND made it kill the user because the rest of the nerfs apparently wasn't enough. 😭 Like damn, why not just delete the entire f%#king ability from the game at this point?

Edited by iflytii: 5/4/2020 10:17:50 PMI hadn't run my warlock as a voidwalker in pvp in a while so I thought I'd dust him off and give it a whirl... I also hadn't realized handheld got nerfed so it was sure a big surprise. It's still somewhat playable but that short fuse sure sucks. Lost count of how many times I jumped around a corner thinking I was charged, ready to throw those beautiful purple blobs, only for the charge to fade, leaving me standing there as bullet fodder. It got old quick so did my medals and jumped back onto my titan so I could get some quality shoulder charges in before bedtime. Looks like shoulder charges got fubared, too. More frequently it seemed like I went directly through or over a target than actually hitting anything. [sarcasm]Fun times...[/sarcasm]

1 ReplyEdited by Kishi: 5/4/2020 4:15:10 PMThe fact that you could throw a mini ward cliff in 0.2 seconds an get a double kill was broken from the jump.. it needed a nerf.

11 RepliesEdited by thatdudeEd54: 5/4/2020 12:44:31 PMI wouldnt call them useless, just harder to use. Pve i see no issue with this, but in pvp they were BROKEN.

4 RepliesSadly handheld supernova is a mechanic that always will be unfair. It either is op or useless. It was up and is useless now.
-
5 RepliesMake Voidwalker grenades useful in general. Vortex grenades are the only thing worth using in general and you can often rush out of it quickly with little to no damage unless it's overcharged. Scatter and Axions are straight up useless to the point where I've only seen them used a handful of times across multiple seasons, both in PvE and PvP.

4 RepliesHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha No. Its fine. Trust me lol.
-
4 RepliesNot just useless, it also kills you.

1 ReplyEdited by blade329: 5/4/2020 4:02:10 PMThat's by design, from Bungie, destroyer of good abilities. They don't know the meaning of the word "adjust" This is how they normally retire things in the game. They dictate what the players use.
-
9/10 using them in the air will result in you just getting misadventured. An exotic made them OP but now they are both useless.
-
Worse than useless. It's extremely deadly to the user now.

1 ReplyI dont mind all the nerfs it got, the less range, the longer charge time but what killed it for me is the fact we can only hold the charge for one second. That right there killed it for me, the whole point of the nerf is to pre charge grenades around corners but how can I do that if my charge goes away after a second? If I cant pin point my enemy and I cant pin point how far they are then how can I effectively use the grenades? The reduced range made sense on paper but if I just commit to releasing the grenades around a corner then its impossible to hit slightly farther targets, the increased time to charge the grenades makes it hard to deal with shotgun apes, no point in charging the grenades when I can just jump away and have a higher chance at staying alive now. The reduced spread making it so players have to aim is a welcomed change for me, I feel the more aim skill something takes the better but bungie just killed it. Now that we can also kill ourselves AND have reduced range, its basically a double edge sword. Hand helds went from being the best grenades in the game with a garbage super to the worse grenades and worse super.

As a PvE main I love it’s pre-nerf state. Though I get it it was a pain in pvp. Just give back the old handheld Supernova pve stats pls!
