So Bungie you guys don't listen to good feed back but will listen to streamer?
How many people have told you making people use weapons they don't want to IS NOT A F'n way to make a game GOOD!
When you have damn meta's you don't make people use SHIT weapons that aren't meta!
Are you guys -blam!- designers? Who the f* thinks of these things?
Only a MORON would do things like this!

2 RepliesYou can't really call them morons if you're still playing.

4 RepliesEdited by Guardian: 3/27/2020 12:11:39 AMIn season of opulance I was forced to use a sniper like hella crazy it was part of the pinnacle quest for Revoker and the Iron Banner quest but as i started to learn more how to snipe i began using snipers more often. Sometimes the quest works for players figuring out there good with some weapons sometimes it doesnt work.

1 ReplyIt is very easy and cuts down the Hardlight spam.
-
1 ReplyWhy even play IB, when most likely you're probably going to either infuse or delete half the stuff you'll get anyway?
-
3 RepliesEdited by Dubstep Dad: 3/25/2020 8:28:36 PMYou now, I've always hated the IB quests, but this one wasn't that bad. I got everything done in maybe 2 hours. Anyways, to respond to the meta argument, I think it's a good thing people are forced to use weapons outside the meta. It makes you really try out new weapons. Maybe you'll find out that you actually love bows! I still love my Hard Light + Sacred Provenance combo, but I have to say it was fun running around with my Crimson or my Bastion :-) Try to relax and enjoy the game. I know it can be frustrating sometimes dude. God knows I cursed out loud when I would miss a Bastion shot, or when a team mate would run right between my arrow and my target and steal my kill. But hey... at least they're not making us get Rocket Launcher kills again! lol Have a good one dude :-)

5 RepliesIron Banner has changed. It’s no longer power advantage enabled. The noobs cannot complain anymore about being disadvantaged. It’s now a training event for kinderguardians to become efficient using other weapon types. A “skills” exercise. At the end you get a nice bow. Enjoy.
-
1 ReplyOh no I need 25 hand cannon kills :(((( legit just stop crying over something that isn't even an issue, if your that bent that you can't get 15 fusion rifle kills just stop playing entirely lol
-
2 Repliesbro this quest isnt even nearly as annoying as it'd get for the usual IB armor quest we got in previous seasons. This is actually okay and doable in an afternoon. Then again, it'd better be, considering the weapon may be unique but not exactly very special or outstanding. BUT (hope the foaming mouths read this section) I do wholeheartedly agree that the layout is overused to the absolute brim at this point in IB. Every time someone says IB quest I know exactly what it looks like in my head and turns out it's the reality. It's so basic, I'm almost fed up with it. I understand giving players a straight forward way to give a new gun in the game, might be easier and time-efficient in order for bungo staff to focus resources on other projects or priorities. But even a slightly more different type of quest could be not hard to elaborate.

8 RepliesAll you guys replying with "It'S nOt EvEn tHaT hArD lMaO" are missing the point. The point is that it's a lazy and annoying quest. Most people don't like being forced to use weapons they don't like. For good players it's a nuisance, for average players it can be a nightmare. I doubt most of you looked at the quest steps and went "Oh boy! Can't wait to get Bow kills in Iron Banner!" I also imagine most of you took that bow right off again after you finished the quest. The only reason this quest exists is to stop people from stockpiling tokens and getting all the Iron Banner loot every season without ever playing it. Fine, whatever. I get that, but please can we just remove the weapon requirements to make this chore a little less painful?
-
5 RepliesExcept that the quest forces players to use weapons outside of the meta.
-
I’m ok with the quest but matchmaking of ib is so dumb lmao
-
3 RepliesI dunno why people are complaining again about getting kills with X weapon. None of these bounties are tough to complete as each step has an obnoxiously strong weapon to breeze through it. Bows are a different story but it allowed me to play around with the ritual weapon for 2 matches. HC - Thorn - 2 matches and I'm not even a good HC user. SMG - Recluse - 1 match because the Recluse is still ridiculously OP Fusion - Telesto - 1 match because spam that crap everywhere and it'll get kills I know, I know, this will take you away from using your Hard Light for at most a dozen matches and that is sad. But you'll be okay.

I mean... to be fair... Hand Cannons are still pretty good. SMGs work pretty damn good if you engage in close-quarters combat (especially if you got one with kill-clip). Fusion-rifles are pretty ballers if you don't charge them up when people can see and shoot you. Granted, bows are a bit mehh to get actual kills with, but they are good if you pair them with a quickdraw high impact handcannon or similar. Prime full-health guardians with the bow and quickly switch to the hand-cannon to finish them off. You only need 10 kills with a bow, so if you run with your blueberries/teammates and shoot whatever they shoot at with the bow you are bound to get the 10 kills you need with the bow pretty fast. Honestly, the quest-steps in the Iron Banner this time around are not THAT bad. It does suck that you need finishing blows rather than defeats, meaning they aren't really encuraging team-play as much as lone-wolf play.
-
6 RepliesFunny how you fail to mention the streamers that also don't like the iron banner quest
-
2 RepliesAll weapon quests that require you to get a million kills with a certain weapon just to get that same type of weapon you are sick of using after completing said quest is stupid.
-
1 ReplyGood feedback is an opinion. I'm sure Bungie heard your opinion but chose to ignore it. I like the quest. It's pretty easy to do over 3 month and give me more things to do in my favorite game. When I do the quest it helps me get more tokens to spend.
-
6 RepliesWould be okay with it if it wasn’t final blows. Hell, even multiply the amount by 5 and do as “as a team get kills with ...” that way if you’re really against a weapon type you can sit it out
-
Careful, Spawn will ban you for being critical of Bungie and streamers.
-
3 RepliesThe quest is the reason I'm starting to hate iron banner. Getting kills with weapons that are in a bad place or people just don't like is just not a good idea. And I've seen a lot of feedback against this quest system in iron banner, I guess they don't really listen or just don't care.
-
got to agree, saying that i did get through it very easily this time and im garbage at pvp. what pisses me off is now i have 2 other guardians to drag through it, what they should do is have the quest once completed open for all 3 guardians make it less of a chore. we still have pinnacle bounties to grind out that should be enough why make it tedious with an added annoying quest .but thats jmo
-
Well said I remember when Bungie said they herd this feedback, and wouldn’t do it in the future. Guess it was just another Bungie lie
-
Its probably more annoying than hard. In fact doesnt seem difficult. Its just lazy design and IB is and has been at its worst since d2 launched.
-
In an era of ARs, Shottys, Snipers, and HCs YOU GUARDIAN must use NERFD fusion rifles, SMGs and a bow... Lol Le Monarque saved my life in that quest also Jotuun... I had to go take a shower after using Jotuun I just felt disgusting.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 3/25/2020 2:43:18 PMLet me grab my bow and hit the 1.9kd SBMM savannah where snipers and spares roam free, majestic and unrestricted. Tonight we hunt. Don't get me wrong. It'll get done. But my days is it a tad painful chore. Why is this game that I play for my limited past-time enjoyment ever so rarely fun? Rewards are fun. Freedom is fun. Having options is fun. Being restricted out of options where they could easily exist is not fun. It doesn't need to be necessarily overtly complicated. "Get kills with kinetic / energy / scatter / precision weapons." I feel there's a start, at least. Also I know. There's freedom in not playing the game. The choice exists. But why settle for mediocrity? There's so much potential in this game. Always has been. Bungo only seems insistent in a lukewarm jogging instead of a sprint. Or maybe they are sprinting full speed. Just ever so slightly off-tangent. Question then becomes, what dicates the current direction?

1 ReplyQuest was easy
-
It’s literally easier than it has ever been. HCs, SMG are meta weapons and if you can’t use them, well, that might be on you. I don’t like fusions, but Telestro is really strong and it only takes 2-3 games. Bows are annoying but shouldn’t take more than a couple of games. They took out heavy, they took out scouts and pulses.
