Full-time professional players don't represent the community. Streamers with 5,000-10,000 hours of gameplay have reached a level of mastery that most will never obtain. These people also have 60+ hours a week to play because they are being paid to play.
Please don't keep tweaking the length of the grind and difficulty to appease the 1%, it's ruining the game for the majority of your other players. We will walk away. It won't be as vocal, but you will feel it in your pocketbook. You will feel it when your coworkers are laid off.

They're going to feel it in their pocket book when the people quit playing the free to play game? I'm not sure what this artificial grind is you're talking about. If they made it any easier I would of been done with the new content in two days. You say stop catering to the 1%.... so we should tailor content around people who log in twice a week for 2 hours a day? Ironically you'd lose more of your player base that way. Destiny has always been a time investment. There has been zero difficulty in D2 since launch and my buddies and I were actually enjoying going into a Legendary lost sector or 1000 power nightfall at 10-20 under and having a challenge. But hey, thanks for speaking for the "majority of your other players" because you obviously know what everyone wants.

2 RepliesBungie would rather have people watching streamers play than actually playing. This game has turned into a television program.
-
7 RepliesStreamers: "Theres not any content" Day 1 of new season: 1012 light...
-
I agree after watching a few streamers today, they were literally goofing off in trials debating what stupid gun they can use to go flawless with.

36 RepliesDatto: Nerf snipers I dont like them on PvE Bungie: Yes lord datto anything you wish Datto: Make the game hard and where you have to grind for me so people like me can be the only ones to do it Bungie: Yes lord datto

3 RepliesBungie without a doubt has ruined this game for a MASSIVE majority of its player base. Titans remain untouched , shotguns get nerfed, auto rifles are beyond busted (don't try telling me otherwise when titan supers are busted and hard light is still not being dealt with). Hand cannons, bows, shottys, and half the pulse rifles are no longer even viable to use in QP OR COMP. Yet Bungie doesn't care because its what the top streamers and top 1% want because that's whats making them there money from the game. Myself and half of my clan and friends refuse to play this game now because its not enjoyable at all anymore.
-
4 RepliesWhat part of this game would you argue is for the 1%? Its only for the .1% and its those that live off of this game only that just want to play Destiny to play Destiny. There is nothing here for the top 10% and the core game is made to turn off 90%. The 1% want harder and more rewarding end game content ( I would argue its 10% at least). Nothing wrong with that, but don't lump harder to grinding.
-
This a fact like those streamers are the one running out of content and not the general community which is 90% and what bungie do is that they always try to please those 10% not the 90% and here we are scratching our heads.
-
8 RepliesI think you maybe new here. This is destiny, the grind is long. Most of the time you won’t get what you were hoping for. From the very beginning of year one destiny 1. Loot was hard to come by. Ask a vet if they remember when hopscotch pilgrim was a high impact pulse rifle and how unbelievably dominant it was. Most people never even got killed by it less even held the original version of that monster. And then my example, never even got gjallarhorn or vex mythoclast until year 3.
-
Im not the first one to say this, but they arent catering to the 1%, they are catering to the 0%. I mean, who even asked for the changes theyre making. I didn't hear any streamers saying that they want the entire year to be grinding bounties.
-
3 RepliesBungie tried catering towards the casual player in year 1 and look where that got them

Streamers waaaaaah

This game is starting to feel like the Corona virus.....

1 Replyyou really need to seek help if you believe people will walk away from destiny now. why because you feel some type of way? who appointed you chairman of the community... who are you? lol
-
I can only put in 10 hours (tops) a week and I'm okay with the grind. It's a grind-y game. Always has been. I don't think the amount of players that enjoy games like Destiny is 1%, and certainly there are very few of that crowd that makes a living at playing Destiny.

2 RepliesGood Lord, since when did salt mines become sentient, grow appendages and gain motor control so they may type on random game forums? This is truly bizarre.

You need to grind in these type of games, it’s a massive part of the appeal. The way the grinding is done though is a different issue.
-
Its not that hard to level up im already at 990 my best suggestion do garden for the pinnacle drops.
-
Git good and go flawless
-
These are the people that will abandon the game in a heartbeat when it affects their money but yet they cater to them nonstop
-
Remember when we were complaining to bungie to stop making the game so casual, well they listened...

Well said!

Streamers are not the "1%" of the game, or at least those who make the kind of statements that bungie uses to dismantle the game with (looking at you Datto, or TV, or GLADD, etc). The top 1% are here, on the forums and in the game, and they get screwed over by the idiot streamers as much as anyone else. They are not normally that skilled. As others have said, they have lemmings willing to carry them. Also, the reason they push to extend the grind or nerf weapons/gear is because it gives them more shit to "review". They want metas tampered with so they can make videos about guns that are boring and skilless but because of the streamers they've either been buffed to the moon, or everything else that used to be good has been nerfed to oblivion. They are a huge part of what's wrong with Destiny. The bounty shit equals TONS of videos for them too. "Fastest grind for Seraph bounty xp" and any other type of horse shit. I'm a super hard core player, almost 5,000 hours in the game (ughhh). I am nowhere near the top 1%, at least not in terms of skill (I do ok though), but I do appreciate all aspects of the game, I play reasonable well in raids, I do well in crucible, I do all the things, and I HATE when bungie puts their grubby hands in my guardians pocket and proceeds to -blam!-ing up my shit!!

38 RepliesI don’t think the game caters to the 1% that you think it does, the hardcore players are also angry and bored with the game. Destiny 2 right now only caters to the whales that spend hundreds on the dress my doll shop.
