US is not willing to withdraw troops from Iraq, says Pompeo

So much for sovereignty.....
Washington is not willing to bow to Iraqi demands to withdraw its troops and any future discussions with Baghdad will be purely confined to the future structure of its forces in the country, the US state department has said.
So now we're just openly an occupying force and not even pretending with the spreading freedom bs?

  • If there is a hell on earth it’s probably near Iraq and Iran. We should bring everyone back. The killing of one person lead to fifty people getting trampled at his funeral and a plane getting blown up the next day. That place is backwards. We have so many bases in that part of the world we will probably never leave. We are still in European countries to this day.

Given everything Iran has done up to this point moving troops out of Iran is waste because they'll only be brought back in after a few months to quell yet another war and secure that sweet juicy oil

We spent BILLIONS fixing Iraq. They should either pay it back or accept we’re going to be chilling there for a while.

        • They withdraw, the entire middle east sees the US bowing to Iraqi and Iranian will. Theres also the fact that, contrary to Trumps assertion a while back, ISIS arent totally dead and buried yet. 🤷‍♂️

          • Wasn't it the Iraqi PM that pushed this?
