Turn it back on. People spent money on it.
Xbox: once 97.1, now 100.8GB
If we're generous to it and suggest that VO scraped 2GB, a fourth of Shadowkeep. Then the Season's content growth is nearly double of it, the prime source likely being the Sundial (since it seems to have actual growth planned).
We also have 3 quests, gear, and the usual stuff.
Now if we suggest the Sundial is 2GB, that isn't generous really, but to keep it even with VO, it's a reasonable benchmark.
What this really boils down to is that due to the amount the game grew, Vex Offensive is very likely still in the game.
If they had to compensate for space, then growth would not have been this high as VO's removal and all things besides gear associated with it would have freed the space that Sundial took over. Clearly, that didn't happen. You'd be suggesting this season to be roughly 6GBs if they really deleted everything. This is unlikely due to Bungie's nature of not deleting old things. They aren't going to play Jenga with stable code. It would also be too big to be reasonable.
So, since the only other argument is the evolving world, simply apply "moment in time" logic to it like every strike and raid, and turn it back on. Consistency is key, no? Would you want strikes and raids gone because they are no longer plot relevant? Don't think so. So what's stopping us from treating this little trash can the same. It isn't fair to it (or really the people that worked on it.)
Hell, stick it in the vanguard director.
Why not make a playlist of these activities that grow as their respective seasons pass? Spitball idea right there, probably a problem when you own only one of 4
Either way
Keep these in the game.

I just deleted it.

2 RepliesEdited by ZachOneX1: 12/11/2019 7:54:38 PMOf course they didn't just delete it. 98% of you here have absolutely 0 idea of what goes on with programming a game and it shows. Yes it's more likely than not just hidden because it's easier and safer to just turn it off than delete it. Yall complain about how buggy the game is now yet you want them to just start ripping old content out and just hope it doesn't mess things up? 😂

1 ReplyBeen saying this since the excuse was made by Luke Smith. I have multiple games that are larger than d2 on my hdd, some with content still to come. Filesize is just an excuse for temporary content, as temporary content doesn't need as much up keep. Last seasons event didn't even get fixed.
-
6 RepliesI’m not sure what was removed or added, but this is the first expansion I have noticed significant frame rate issues in all events. It even effects the inventory screen when looking at armor and mods to place within. Up to know it’s been relatively smooth - I’m on an Xbox 1x with an ssd. Anyone else experiencing the same?
-
2 RepliesOff topic, have you noticed the strange purple- green-red graphical glitch near Osiris or sometimes in the tower since the update?
-
3 RepliesBungie didn’t make content temporary because of storage space, that was an assumption made by the community. Bungie decided to make content temporary because the dev team was overworked last year with Forsakens annual pass. They slipped in the “ evolving story” to make it look like they were doing it for the narrative, when in reality it was just to decrease the workload on their end.
-
2 Repliesmost of last season is still in the game because it wasn't all temporary... (gear, models etc)
-
most of the content from last season still exists because it's gear people have earned.

I do not wish to play Vex Offensive again.
-
They have to leave “bulk” in there or we would see how little is in the new dlc 😉

2 RepliesIt's not about then cutting it to make space it's about cutting it do they don't have too many powerful drops. They said the stuff you earned in them will be earnable in another form later on again. But it's a way they are trying to create hype. Being a limited event
-
1 ReplyPeople datamine everything from unused audio to not used catalyst icons and just about anything else. I'm sure if the event is still in there, someone is going to eventually call them out on it. I trust Bungie about as far as I can throw Jupiter, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find that pulling the node from the menu is all that they did between seasons.

Ohhhhg yeah the forums is your destiny 2 endgame I get it.

21 RepliesYou’re only renting games anyway. Relax.

2 RepliesOf course it's in the game. Prepare to buy it back next year.

4 RepliesIf they are going to remove content from season passes, the season passes Need to be free.

One big fix for alot of this, would be spending the money they earn to build a new engine. The engine they currently have is behind just like bethesda's engine.
-
3 RepliesWhy are people just now up in arms about this? We’ve known this would happen...

Nah fam...console limitations...too much file size...things! /s

5 RepliesWhat space issue is Bungie talking about? The file isn't even that big. Call of Duty and MCC are around the same size. Cod being practically identical. Poor compression. They suck at their jobs so they hold your paid content ransom lol. Live service games are absolutely garbage. They're worthless the second updates stop happening. Ages like rotten milk.
-
Lordy, some of the people who play this game are absolute whoppers.
-
It's stuff for the dawning event, mainly Tess Everis and updated activities. The size could also hint SRL.
