I think we should go back to the D1 strike specific loot format. NF will grant a better chance at said loot. Also, take Iron banner back to D1 year 1 format. With the shaders and armor granting enhanced progress. Plus the armor and weapons were far superior.
Edit: thanks for all the support!
Edit 2: Thought we might get a comment out of the community managers.

Yes! I stopped playing strikes after I got Edgewise. No motivation. At least in D1 I played them for fun. They are not fun so loot must be a serious motivator. Please put in some super armour in them. And weapons!

1 ReplyHow and why strike specific loot is not a thing is beyond my understanding. To top that off the new strikes have no loot as nightfalls. Like wtf??
-
3 RepliesWe need strike specific armor instead of just weapons that can be for single classes.
-
Man, the new strikes dont even have an emblem ...
-
67 RepliesBungie has openly said to the community they can either do that, or a raid exotic weapon. I think I’ll take my exotic and be on my way
-
1 ReplyI can't understand why at this point in the game's life they are so tight with loot. The amount of grind and RNG is at an all time high and yet we have worse drop rates for gear. It's really a turn off at this point.
-
Bump. Bring back cool armour tied to bosses.
-
I remember when iron banner used to be so rare. And when you see someone with a full set of gear and weapons it would amaze you. Now iron banner comes every 2 weeks with terrible weapons. I remember looking forward for iron banner.
-
I'll never understand why they dropped Strike loot in the first place.
-
There’s not even NF loot for scarlet keep it festering core. That should say enough..

7 RepliesRevert everything back to D1
-
Thats one of the things I miss from d1, that and Daybreak strikes.
-
Strike specific loot is probably the one thing people have been asking for since D1 day 1, and Luke Smith even said they need to do better with strikes, yet absolutely no real changes other than the original NF specific drops. But once you've got those, you don't really care anymore. Guess Eververse is Everfirst.
-
Yeah they should bring back strike specific loot to the heroic strike list with the keys like in D1.
-
5 RepliesIf they can do it while wearing their pajamas it just might happen.
-
3 RepliesI believe we need to revert back to D1 for all armor in general. Armor designs are nowhere near as unique or aesthetically pleasing when compared to Destiny 1 armor. There’s too much stress on armor for Eververse and ornaments and not enough unique armor in the game’s loot pool itself. The Iron banner system in the beginning of Destiny was also far superior as you stated. Bring back ranks, get rid of tokens.

8 RepliesI miss the strike specific loot and the guaranteed exotics from nightfalls. Now I have to do 4 or 5 nightfalls for the same legendary bullshit gear.
-
I agree they should! It's only strike specific weapons and are only dropping in NF activities.
-
Weapons for nightfalls Enemy themed armour/ornaments for heroics Also modifiers need an adjustment
-
Agreed
-
Destiny 1 ended in a good spot. That’s where Destiny 2 should have started. Yet here we are, $100+ later and nowhere close to it.
-
8 RepliesI'm actually okay with strike specific loot being obtained only from Nightfalls. Gives Nightfalls a reason to be completed as part of endgame material. As for strikes, they're EZ grind material for quests. Just as they should be in my opinion. Endgame is already in shambles, I'd rather not see another endgame draw destroyed.

7 RepliesSo why did D1 have both raid weapons and strike chests? I guess it was easier then.....

1 ReplyImagine Bungie being super stingy with loot in year 3. Imagine regrinding 2-1 year old exotics hoping to get a good or decent roll, because rng stats over rng affinity over rng getting the exotic you NEED for the build you are making. Imagine all that, in year 3. *heavy -blam!-ing breathing*
