During Activision Era:
"Bungie isn't at fault for the eververse store and the overpriced microtransactions. Activision is making them do it and everything bad about Destiny is Activisions fault".
After Bungie and Activision split:
"You guys expect everything for free? Bungie is independent and has to make money somehow! $15 for a skin is totally acceptable! Bahhhh Bahhhh (sheep sounds)"

Symptoms may include: gaslighting, projection, hypocrisy, sadism, strawmanning, ad hominems, and various other childish behaviors. If your feeling discomfort when taking libralitis, ask your doctor to prescribe you the redpill. Patients taking the redpill may experience sever trump acceptance, a job application, and unlimited sexual intercourse. If problems persist, make sure to call your doctor, and continue taking the red pill.

There is no reason to defend Eververse. All the items in Eververse should be random drops in activities and also able to be purchased if you dont feel like chasing them. But no - they have to be Eververse exclusive. Its BS.

2 Repliesgame is finished, man, Bungie knows it, it is their time to milk their last mile After this year pass, there wont be ANYTHING LEFT OF, ALREADY NUMBERS ARE DROPING FAST F2P ALSO WAS A MISTAKE GIVING FREELOADERS STUFF WE PAID FOR

1 ReplyI still just don’t care about Eververse. I have enough shaders to keep the postmaster full, more than enough exotic ships and sparrows, and I have enough emotes that I rarely use and don’t care enough about ones I don’t have since I probably have around twenty times as many shaders as I can physically use. If you care so much about having every single item in Destiny, you should probably consider seeking some sort of professional help because, while I am not a medical professional and thus don’t have the knowledge nor experience to diagnose anyone with anything, I feel like having a large compulsion to have every single item in the shop, despite not being able to use anywhere close to that number of items, does not seem to be very healthy behavior.
Though I will say, it would be nice if instead of even more items that I don’t care about being added to Eververse, maybe we could, say, get a vendor refresh instead? I’d like me some shiny brand new weapons that are slightly different than the weapons we currently have
1 ReplyPeople who blamed activision are straight and simple ignorant idiots. Not just one or the other, but both: 1) Luke Smith a few weeks ago publicly apologized for anything bad that was put on Activision, instead thanked and praised them for the support they had during the partnership. Fact is, Bungie was one step away from being included in the class action lawsuit for supporting, instead of denying, false claims, thus suggesting that there was malicious intentions to deceive investors. 2) activision‘s studios: high moon and vicarious visions, have to be thanked for the best content ever delivered in this game, and for the quality of it. FACT. Look up quotes from Luke Smith praising them. Sure he couldn’t do otherwise without looking like the biggest hypocrite on earth. 3) after splitting with activision, all star employees moved to competition bc Bungie is now not able to offer ATVI stock option plans. Be them lead raid designer, you know the guy who made every single raid until now, not sales rep Luke Smith, or lead narration (talk about a none sense that shadow is, convenient plot dropped in one evening in between two orgies, mln light years away from D1 narrative), pvp and balancing... and so on. 4) Bungie is now with reduced staff. Part of this staff is also now focusing on other projects, whilst other employees are allocated to Netease’s project to develop a Destiny like app for Asia. It was therefore very easy to anticipate SK to turn out as the biggest recycling and reskin ever. Anyone thinking otherwise was willingly fool or plain stupid.

Thank you 😊 I just love your post. 100% accurate.

Both Activison and Bungie were to blame. And the activision split wasnt going to change much. Pretty fun people though Activision were the mega bad guys and bungie were the victims here.

2 RepliesDefending bungie or not. Either way, I still can't wrap my head around peoples logic when it comes to eververse. It's a video game that sells virtual items that will have no meaning in the next year or or two. Buy stuff or don't buy stuff. I only spend money on certain things. Armor set or maybe an ornament. I still get tons of items from y1 and y2 from the free engrams that I never acquired. We also got stuff from the seasonal rewards. This mentality of "I need all the things and I need it now" is just ridiculous. I'm not defending bungie because there are a lot of things that have happened in this game that irritates me. But eververse? That's the last thing I will get upset over.

This game is heading to a very dark place, you may even call it the abyss!
-
3 RepliesYou can't blame bungie, obviously they are gonna take the easiest route to the most money. Some games are pure entertainment, some games are just a platform for upselling. With destiny going free to play, you could argue it's the latter, but there is still a decent game behind it. I just don't know if it's decent enough to personally ever spend money on it again.

5 Repliesduring activision era, acty was disappointed in destiny not making enough money. they used their seats at the collective management table to force more monetization. now that activision is no longer publishing for them, it would be stupid to reduce or discontinue monetization of cosmetic, let me repeat, cosmetic, items. bonus revenue (profitability) for a publicly traded company is always a good sign to investors, meaning bungie can make even more money, and continue to develop the game you seem to care about. defending companies is stupid and so is correcting idiots on the internet but i guess i’m doing both anyway

Yeah lol

Bungie is a company. The point of a company is to offer a service at a cost that the consumer base find acceptable. I assume they have a team of accountants looking at the player base, and cost of DLCs and micro transactions to find that balance. I don’t like that I have to buy some extra stuff in this game, but ultimately without people paying £10 for an emote, Bungie doesn’t get the funds it needs to support and develop the game. You as a consumer have every right to take your money elsewhere 👍
-
They should add more warframes and charge real money for it. Like Frost Warframe, Gravity Warframe. People would by it.
-
Cant blame Bungie for milking the playerbase. Fools and their money.....
-
Edited by TheShadow-cali: 11/3/2019 7:05:38 AM😄👍 Always some sort of excuse they will come up with. Bungie could have had this event without the haunted forest and no loot and they would say something like, Bungie could have charged you for the music so be grateful they added it for free🤦♂️

Zero logic in the Bungie Defense Force

3 RepliesEdited by olly5656: 11/3/2019 5:15:07 AMBut the game is F2P you have to understand Bungie is a small indie developer they simply can’t afford NOT to charge Fortnite prices

is a skin with 0 valor in game = you don't need to have all eververse items

Cattle must be parted with their pathetic incomes. Misspelled disposable incomes. It's a sin not too.

First of all, that a hell of a generalization. I never vilified activision... I just understand how business works and eververse is business. Second, it’s not 15$ for one skin. It’s 7$ for exotic or a weapon skin, 15$ for FIVE armor skins. Also, compare prices to other games with micro transactions.... eververse is on the low side.
