Clearly you don't actually want players to play your content. Why waste my time using an LFG? Umm...LITERALLY just let me match make for 950's. Let ME decide if the lack of communication is an issue and run off to find a team if I feel the need. Stop telling me, "No go make some friends" when matching with players WOULD MAKE ME SOME **** FRIENDS.
You.
Godd**n.
Idiots.
Edit: A lot of people are saying "tHeY cAn'T aDd MaTcHmAkInG bEcAuSe Of MoDiFiErS aNd EqUipMeNt LoCkS!" They can add a requirement to have two different kinds of weapon mods before you're allowed to launch. I thought this would be common sense.
Yet another Edit: Bungie's reply is basically: We don't trust players and don't think they will be able complete 950 Nightfalls because alot of you suck at communicating and have no thumbs and we won't give you a chance to prove otherwise by atleast temporarily adding matchmaking and collecting completion statistics.

5 RepliesEdited by TACtical1Actual: 10/18/2019 2:36:21 PMI agree with all of the points you made. I personally would love to have matchmaking for literally everything with the option to disable the matchmaking feature if desired (for cry babies). Chances are, if someone is disabling the matchmaking feature, it's because they already have a full team. If the matchmaking would take into consideration, Player's PVE K/D, completion percentage and match primarily based on that, it'd be fine. So far, with matchmaking added to 750, 920 nightfalls, I have had nearly 90% success rate. Sure, I end up with a few bad teammates from time to time but that's just life. Too many cry babies creating unnecessary reasons to refrain Bungie from implementing matchmaking where it may be successful. Not all of us have the chance to raid because we don't want to engage in a lengthy process of using LFG and meeting people in game is not as seamless of an experience as Bungie most likely assumes. I also don't fully understand why many players suggest implementing matchmaking for top tier or max difficulty activities is a bad idea. What scenario are they fearful of? Here's a proposed example. 2 People want to try to Duo the 980 nightfall but they are now inconvenienced by the fact that they have to sit through the matchmaking process of adding a third teammate to the group. Who is going to try to Duo the 980 NF? That doesn't even make sense. Bungie's response on the whole "Not Trusting The Player Base" or "Communication or lack Thereof is a big factor" Simply Allow The Option To Disable The Matchmaking Feature For Those Who Prefer To Waste Their Time. Implement matchmaking for everything. EVERYTHING. WITH the option to DISABLE matchmaking for those who wish to spend collective hours of their lives in LFG searching for and dealing with the people you encounter there.

Edited by Tk: 10/19/2019 7:32:54 AMHeres an idea... Nightfall labs. Or really a labs version of everything with matchmaking. For a limited time of course for testing purposes
They can add a requirement to have two different kinds of weapon mods before you're allowed to launch.
Along with THAT I'll add... They should also require a minimum of a 950 level to even get into a 950 mm Nightfall.

I agree .. I was a day one D1 player and was fortunate enough to have an amazing team.. However, I no longer have the time available to build relationships and teams. M.M for nightfalls @950 + would most likley allow me to meet other working professionals who still like to game.. It would be tremendously helpful and a generous extension of service to your loyal and dedicated fanbase.. Please consider the O.Ps post.. Thanks!

4 RepliesBecause then the forums will be filled with posts about people complaining about other people not knowing how to do shit in the nightfalls, or how they're too hard and only cater to the hard core player base. Then suddenly it's bungie fault! A LOT of frustration will come from this, do you really think that most forum users have the mental maturity of patience for constant nightfall failure? hell no, we still have people complaining about stomp mechanics, now you want to throw a bunch of randoms into one of the harder pve modes in the game?
-
6 RepliesAll 4 nfs should have matchmaking. You don’t need communication or friendship to kill adds...😉
-
3 RepliesYou need to stop. Your argument is terrible and you will never be taken seriously. There will never be matchmaking for endgame pve activities unless under very specific circumstances (guided games).
-
4 RepliesEdited by J_v_K: 10/17/2019 10:12:36 PMBecause it is meant to be end game content and, unless you are the sort of player who can solo this sort of thing, you really you do need a fireteam as you need the communication and team co-ordination to do it. You need weapons that can deal with all three types of champions and if you matchmake there is no guarantee that you will get that. So why should Bungie cater to this? Just because you say so? Heck no. Bungie want people playing together, they want players interacting and having fun as a team, building the bonds and friendships that truly makes the Destiny community one of the greatest in the gaming industry. Outside of the raids, Legend Nightmare Hunts and heroic Menagerie, there are not many activities that truly require a fireteam in this game, so adding matchmaking to the Legend difficulty Ordeal Nightfall Strikes (It is hard even saying that) reduces that pool further still and thus removes another reason for people to play together. That is not a good thing for the community or the game itself.

1 ReplyI’ve done lfg for 100k nightfall and that goes badly wrong there don’t have the weapons on match game!! Matchmaking would be a nightmare in its sense there should add it so you play Even longer!!
-
13 RepliesBungie gave you matchmaking for two teirs of nightfalls! Youre the type of person who wants matchmaking for raids
-
1 Replyyou can solo those easily rewards are based how many champions you have killed and i played two nightfalls today 920 and people were ignoring champions miss one champion and you get nothing pretty much...
-
5 RepliesBecause go try vex invasions. Edited by S_for_the_win: 10/18/2019 3:35:34 PMAllow matchmaking in every nf but punish leavings, like you do in comp. Also punish for completing activities, just because.

Ur a bot.
-
4 RepliesY’all just don’t understand that having matchmaking will make you regret that decision
-
The 950 NF requires a bit of skill and definitely some teamwork-team shotting on the barrier and overload enemies. That’s the strat for the NF. Team shoot the big bad yellow bars. I’m pretty sure Joe Rando could handle that. Their should be a minimum lvl requirement(945 base) and every player should have both barrier and overload mods equipped prior to gear being locked in order to be put in the matchmaking que.

Or just LFG 'no Mic' and stop being a baby.

1 ReplyEdited by TrooperHR: 10/17/2019 11:34:17 PMBecause it's so elite bro. Just ask that guided games Chang lady from Bungie, she like once in 2001 like played online matchmaking. And like someone was like mean to her!! Oh my GOSH!
-
2 RepliesSometimes I feel that bungie thinks we are all idiots. Yet we all play the game 100% better than they ever can.
-
I have a bigger problem with it forcing matchmaking on the lower nightfalls. Bungie seems to be ignoring those of us that like soloing nightfalls.
-
2 RepliesYou can find 2 morons on lfg REAL QUICK in like 5 seconds or less and go play NF.. Unless, by some off chance, you actually want to clear it with 100k. And then you'll have to curate your team. Makes sense, huh? But yeah, add matchmaking....................
-
1 ReplyThis basically stems from the fact that bungle doesn’t play the game from the players perspective. They play it from the dev perspective where they can simply give themselves everything they need instead of earning them. That is why players are unhappy with this game
-
1 ReplyThis has been a key issue since day one, Bungie have always said NO. Yes its decisive but if it was optional and could be tuned by the player then whats the issue.. BUNGIE YES lets have it please
-
1 ReplyAt least make it so you can do any kind of matchmaking in-game. Whether it be a high level Nightfall, a Raid, Comp mode in the crucible, or whatever. I feel in this day and age I shouldn't have to jump on a third-party website to find a group when friends aren't available. Honestly, this is one of the big issues with the franchise I've had since launch of D1. I'll give Bungie a chance throughout this expansion to listen to the community. However, it's stuff like this along with boring maps and unbalanced classes in Crucible, recycling of enemies for the "new enemy" (even the BOSSES), that will make me stay away from any further content they put out for this game.
-
4 RepliesEdited by TotalDramaGamer: 10/18/2019 1:48:21 AMBecause the word 'optional' doesn't exist here on the forums. Make a firewall version. There, problem solved. What's that? You think people are idiots for using matchmaking? Well, let them be idiots in peace. You can LFG, we'll be idiots. I'm content with that. Just let me be an idiot with other idiots. Is that too much to ask? I mean, we do matchmaking with comp... and that's the most teamwork centric mode there is.

because it’ll never be completed
