Iron Banner is Trash this season.
No new weapons. We only play the same 3 new maps, which two of them are the worst maps I've ever played. It's still control only, which is just boring. No variety. The bounties are lame. Match making is not fixed. Bungie, do you listen? It's not like we are asking for a lot. If you simply just added more game modes than control you'd probably get rid of half these complaints.

4 RepliesMy only problem is the power lvl advantages, why can't matchmaking be around your power. Say you're 925 so why mathmaking be around there instead of going against 950s. Not a lot of people have time to get that much power in a short amount of time so it's down right unfair in my opinion.

At least the quest is easy. Matchmaking is utter trash tho and yeah the maps selection is still shit , dont want to play widows court for the 100th time, i know they fixed it but it still heavily favors the 3 new ones and I am sick of fragment and twilight gap ( to the point of auto leaving). Matchmaking.... It does not exist , or it exists in the most malicious form as it has never given me a decent game at all, like maybe 1-3 out of the 30 I have played so far , everything else is a mercy or a stomp. Bungo's PvP team is seriously gone nuts this time around.

Iron Banner has been decent for me. My only complaint has been the 3 map rotation, that will get addressed today.

3 RepliesOn the contrary, I enjoyed IB this season, it's a huge improvement I might add. If you've grinded IB last 2 seasons, you'll know what I mean. Getting irritated at almost every match. Took 40 hours and possibly beyond to clear out all the IB bounties and that silly quest to get the IB helmet. Coupled with my over-the-top grind for mountaintop and fabled, crucible became a game mode that would easily light my fuse and blow me up. So bad that I totally stayed away from crucible upon achieving my targets. This season, getting to fabled fully on solo queuing took 8 hours, clearing out IB bounties and that unnecessary IB quest took only 4 hours... It's a whole lot better than before IMHO.

I despise Control... but Iron Banner makes it good. If there's one thing blueberries love doing, it's chasing that third point cap. Normally that ruins everything, but in Iron Banner you actually get a pretty good reward for it.

You mean your not having fun playing the same map 5 or 6 times in a row and playing against teams that are lagging so bad they don’t take damage, t-bag everyone they kill and end with 15+ k/d.

Better than the Iron Burden 2500 final blows nonsense...but still the worst mode in the game. Please remove level disadvantages.

2 RepliesMy main issue is that because of SBMM I’m constantly paired against people that are 20-30 power lvls above me. Just because I don’t no life the game I get practically one shot constantly but the game won’t put me in games with people closer to my power level. It’s easily the most frustrating IB I’ve ever played.

You can pick up some Enhanced Mods turning in tokens though that depends on how RNG is working for you. Regarding adding more game modes, aren't most people already playing Clash mode in IB? The only problem I have with IB is that it really doesn't matter if you win or lose. It is 3 tokens for a loss and 5 for a win. No big difference. The quest and bounties are just about getting kills and not much about controlling anything. It is what it is. Just go in, get your armor and pick up a few Enhanced Mods and move on. Edit: Bungie did add concurrent objectives to its different quest steps which people had been demanding, so yes, they do listen.

3 RepliesI had fun playing last night but Widows Court is by far my least favorite map but i know allot of people asked for it back so i’ll endure and just keep rolling my eyes at the screen everytime i fly into that map. Haha!

After playing this morning I am thinking the queue times might be key. Late at night when less players were on my games tended to be VERY competitive. This morning was chill and fun with some games being difficult but not to the point of frustration.

Just like before the connections are so bad that it's unplayable. Just played a full game where I got total of 3 defeats. And in perspective I have over 100 000 crucible kills and >2kad. Players appearing out of nowhere, not taking damage etc. Even shield bashed a super which didn't suppress them for god knows what reasons. Today was just as bad in comp. Not sure what the heck is going on.

There isn't even a new emblem, let alone new weapons, or ornaments for the Y2 IB sets. Really sloppy and clearly Bungie can't seem to manage simple seasonal updates.
