Any possible idea as to what or who this statute represents? [SPOILERS]

In the final mission for shadowkeep, right before Destiny’s version of multiple spider men pointing fingers, this statue appears. I thought “oh that’s creepy.” But yet again, it appears in the Garden of Salvation raid, at the final chest. This can’t be a coincidence. Any probable theories as to whom or what this figure is supposed to stand for?

    • That there is a statue with a veil over it. Say, what was that race’s name that Anon leaked to us again....?

      • Well I'd hate to assume but the statute does bare the striking resemblance to a female humanoid, with two protrusions on its chest that look a lot like breasts imo It might represent the Darkness itself and how it's formless, as the statute is covered in a sheet or blanket perhaps implying that like the darkness that it's there you just can't see it. It could also represent some sort of creator? Like the person who made the Light and the Darkness? But that last part doesn't have any evidence to back it up

      • I’m more concerned about that Unknown Artifact that has the exact same circular markings as the Traveler does 🤔🤔

Well it’s covered in a tapestry or a veil.... Maybe we are having our first glimpse at the [b]veil[b] as mentioned in the dreaming city lore. Maybe this serves as the motivational symbol for their troops. Whatever they may be.

                • It’s humanoid and it’s ripped straight out of the concept art. I’ll maybe go into more detail about this at a later date, but this statue (and the entire campaign for that matter) definitely suggests a bigger connection between humanity and the darkness.

                • <I'm thinking that Bungie is going back to their "ancient alien race turns out to be old humans" thing. That ship is literally older than the Moon as we know it. The Black Garden? Even older. When the Traveler rebelled against the laws of the universe, it started enriching races. Perhaps one was a very early race of people. However, power corrupts, and so we did some evil shit. So the Traveler leaves and the Darkness picks up the scraps.>

                  • That statue looks eerily like a human woman “We heard your cries for help” “You don’t recognize us?” We don’t know everything about the fall.
