Talking specifically about the Season 8 season pass. If you paid for the content for that season, you get the blue Season pass row. Simple.

You don't have to buy the Season pass separately. If you have the DLC/ paid content drop for that season, both rows are given.

I'll give you the following conditions you have to meet: 1) Have a main Account 2) Buy Shadowkeep 3) Get all content Anything on any other platform or account won't grant you anything but New Light content. Huge thing to point out is that New Light also gives the very first mission of Shadowkeep.

Then there isn't any reason it shouldn't work. The only thing most people would have trouble with is they can't access the season pass simply because they're on an account that hasn't bought Shadowkeep (Yeah it's £50 PER ACCOUNT) I say take it to the Bungie Help forums. They reply VERY fast. Mostly within less than 24 hours.
