Iron banner quest is ridiculous
Every time I come back to this game and start enjoying it bungie yet again make a needless change that ruins it for me. Why cant we just play iron banner and get drops etc. The bounties...sure. but now this tedious quest for certain weapon kills and ability kills etc..... why does EVERYTHING have to be such a slog now. I've never missed an iron banner and always looked forward to it but I have no desire to have to grind out this stupid quest.
Edit. I finished it lll and grinded for shaders and sparrow cause I used all the tokens I earned for the engrams first lol. Btw Cerberus is lowkey meta.
Edit2. Yeah. With armor 2.0 coming, not even worth grinding anymore anyways.

Only one thing is worse than the grind - people on your team grinding the quest, running with stupid load and doing stupid things. Even justifying not capturing zones as "I need to grind grenade kills, go away!".

4 RepliesThey know exactly what they are doing... milking us for time. I am with you, was genuinely enjoying this game again until I ran into these bounties/quest steps. How F’n ridiculous and such a Bungie thing to do, they just cannot get out of their own way. Also, this grind for old armor? I was all for bringing back cool sets of armor because current ones just suck, but why the grind for it? If I’m doing this kind of BS it should be for NEW, good looking, armor. They just keep sabotaging themselves, for example, The Menagerie... what an awesome mode, new, fresh and MATCHMAKING! What a leap forward! Now I see where future modes will take away MATCHMAKING! Why? Why screw this good thing up? Folks say, “well, it will be too difficult for a group of randoms”... ok, why the need to ruin it once again with mind numbing mechanics? If I wanted to play Myst I would pull out my old IBM and get into it... but this is not that. Always have to over-complicate things. Well, back to yard sale status for this game. When it starts making sense... Bungie happens.

This quest is rediculous, and expects far too much investment for old armor that we wouldn't even want if it weren't for the added perk rolls. It's clearly a massive waste of time. Nevermind doing it three times, it's unacceptable.

They expect you to do it on all 3 characters before the season ends, with each event only lasting a week. And you can't even get the goddamn armor through rank up packages until you unlock them in the quest. Who approved this bullshit? What kind of drugs are they on?

I managed to get the melee and super kills requirements meant, but only 49% of the grenade kills. That's only because I used a Titan with Skullfort, and it took 3-4 hours. There's no way in heck I'll be able to get this done for all three characters for this IB. No way.

1 ReplyI used to be able to play my 2-3 hours and had the armor set. Now it is like 2-3 days. I cannot play as much as I used to. Due to the fact I have long job hours, a family a kid. So if the new "MMO strategy" is please play 12-14 hours in one week to get the items. Thank you! But no thank you!

BLNC1989 You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

Especially MMO's or games like Destiny share MMO'esque qualities. You want the most powerful and/or coolest looking stuff? Then you need to step outside your comfort zone. It doesn't matter similar games you play let you do what you want for the rewards you want. That kinda thing is NOT a gold industry standard.

You do know it’s mean to be done over a season right not just this first week of iron banner . Stops by the forums to see if there’s anything new . Sees multiple threads of little -blam!- crying over quests steps .... Another week in destinyland
