Future Raids

I think we can all agree that D2 raids are just a little lackluster, and it’s an all-around issue. The mechanics sometimes seem nagging, the bosses and fights don’t seem very important(we haven’t had any buildup or backstory for the last two raids we’ve received), and the weapons, armor etc. are not worth the heartbreak in my opinion. Bungie always prided themselves on the amazing endgame content they provided, honestly making breathtaking content with VoG, KF, and WotM. Now, this isn’t saying I don’t enjoy the different places we’ve been, with very creative mechanics and places we’ve been. But there’s just something missing. What made VoG so legendary? The openness, the simple yet crucial mechanics, the legendary raid loot, and the scenery was beautiful. imo, shadowkeep is a great opportunity to bring in both familiar faces and familiar experiences, while keeping the freshness that makes D2 so fun. TLDR; Bungie needs to revert to the old habits that made the old raids amazing, while still keeping a new and fresh experience that they’ve brought with D2.

  • the lack of backstory for the raid bosses in the last two is due to the lack of story in the annual pass. (im certain the shadowkeep raid will have lots of buildup) and as for loot, this is a problem we’ve had since kings fall (seriously, aside from smite of merain and the lmg, the loot in that raid feels pretty weak, and the same applies for most of the wrath loot) so this issue is not one that originated or solely applies to d2’s raids
