Congratulations your crying for a nerf to the weakest pvp class - namely hunter - has been heard
Spectral blades this spectral blades that. People stop acting daft! Hunter has no one shot to speak of so it`s natural that their supers have to be a little better than the other two classes. You want hand held supernova AND damage reduction out the wazoo AND duration for hell of a long time for nova warp? Or shoulder charge (potentially unlimited with the right spec) AND an imba super?
I feel like I`ve taken crazy pills...
I mained titan but in my heart of hearts I am a hunter so naturally my second high level and power char was a hunter. But lo and behold they gonna nerf a super that already underperforms without the Gwisin vest... You know how many kills a non Gwisin vest spectral blades racks up in quickplay even in the right circumstances? About 3. Sure there are exceptions like when they are grouped.
Meanwhile they want to bring back the "glory days" of unkillable nova warp where one guy could wipe a whole team... Clearly this is favoritism.

I care less about how long it lasts, and am more concerned with the part where it can tank damage from a team of guardians and still kill hem all. Name me one other roaming super that can do that. 2- even after a super nerf, spectral will still probably be one of the best subclasses because of its neutral game. Invis, wall hacks, and the best melee ability in the game (corrosive smoke). You don’t need one shot abilities to be powerful. 3- Nova warp’s duration is returning, its armor and damage is not. It will not one shot guardians in super and tank a whole team of guardians shooting it.

as a hunter main.... bro, please.... spectrals are out of control. why do you think comp teams are almost 100% spectral blades? so much damage resistance while in super it’s nuts.... wombos and wall hacks ( admittedly the wall hacks are blown out of proportion, if you can consistently get headshots while crouched.... props to you). if hunter mains say spectrals are too hot, that’s saying something. i’m sick of them them... and i was excited for the void blade dancer, but when 5 of them come at you in each QP match, and i shotgun one to the face and melle them, but the keep going and shit on my whole team..... uh, what?

From one hunter main to another, wake the fu[i]c[/i]k up. Hunters are closer to top tier than ever, if not the best PvP class. Spectral is icing on the cake, icing that can kill you twice in a single super because it lasts an eternity

The only problem I have with spectral blades is that you can have unlimited swipes to kill somebody. It should take super energy to swipe. I’m sure everyone on this thread has played a match where you hear that “swoosh swoosh” for way too long. I think that’s the only thing that needs changed.

And also see enemies behind walls and stay invisible yourself. LOL. It needs nerf 100% certainly in PvP. I main hunter and have all three characters at 700 so I know this for sure. No other super comes close to spectral.

13 RepliesThousand cuts is a one-shot super. More than that if you time the spread. Hunters are by no means the weakest in PvP, that’s warlocks.

Spectral Blades could use a duration and armor adjustment. Hunter’s do not need a one shot neutral ability. Played IB for a few hours this week and was killed by a Handheld Supernova and Shoulder Charge one time each in the play session. They really aren’t that big a deal

Edited by Swiftchao: 3/31/2019 8:53:24 AM- shoulder charge is a risk vs reward ability and easy to counter if seen coming and failing to kill with handheld supernova leaves you vulnerable for a shotty to the face, fusion, or low health since your opponent isn't just gonna stand there and let you kill him both require you to be up close to the enemy and they are very likely to have a shotgun, sidearm, smg, lunas/NF, fusion, or really good with a sniper - hunter dodge turns off aim assist and tracking on you for the duration of the dodge as well as a short cooldown time while say the titan barrier gets demolished in like 2 seconds, takes time to proc making you completely vulnerable to attack during the animation and much more situational to use. while warlocks are straight up dead if caught trying to use a rift - hunter double/triple jumps are more practical in open spaces and faster to ascend and descend making them less punishing to use unlike titans and warlocks where if you get caught your dead - hunters natural abilities are just amazing compared to titans and warlocks - 3 kills with a super is already really good most people usually get 1-2 with one and done supers - handheld supernova and shoulder charge are only on a few trees - we don't know enough to determine whether or not they are completely reverting all changes to nova warp it could just be a very small buff - Finally there is absolutly NO WAY hunters or spectral blades are the weakest pvp class - stormcallers and bottom tree fist of havoc and sunspot sunbreakers are much lower tier than spectrals with their slow time to kill speeds

Most used and can team wipe multiple times. Duration nerf. And fine, nerf shoulder charge and handheld super nova. That’s fine. Nova warp subclass is already useless, and I hate shoulder charge anyways. But if nova warp gets nerfed for being able to team wipe multiple times then so should spectral. And none of this, “only good with gwisin” 3 kills is still respectable. And by comparison, let’s look at Stormcaller. Terrible duration, armor, and speed, paired with terrible time to kill. Then you add the exotic helmet. Fixes duration. But still plagued with problems. Spectral blades has speed, damage, and armor. A meh duration is fine. I say nerf gwisin vest. Make it viable. But maybe half the time the vest adds. Or reduce by a fourth. This makes it still a team wipe and still a powerful subclass compared to many many many others.
