Malfeasance should penetrate Taken Phalanx shields...

The gun just still doesn’t live up to the grind for me. It’s never gonna top a master worked legendary with Rampage and minor spec. BUT a nice (non op) add on would be to let it shoot through (ignore) Taken shields, Like Skyburners Oath against Cabal. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.       They should add a couple things: Crazy damage against taken. Damage ignores invaders overshield. Holder gains same wall hacks as an invader when their side is being invaded (only while holding the gun). This gun should be feared in gambit. You shouldn't expect to be killed by queenbreaker, but malfeasance If its going to take up an exotic slot, make it worth the slot. Any more ideas?

      • It should destroy the taken immunity link or cause a virus / worm that works it’s way along the chain link and destroys all connected to the chain. Then it’s an exotic and capable of fun and been called one. The slugs follow the link and detonate on reaching its linked target.

          It already does. Shoot the shield five times and all the slugs explode and damage the phalanx for full slug damage. Or even get one shot off on the body and then shoot the shield four times to guarantee that the enemy will stagger (or die).

            • GREAT idea. Malfeasance is kind of boring. Even the explosions are tame and lackluster. It should be a three tap head kill in crucible also. You have legendary weapons that dwarf it in crucible.

              • I am clubbing in my opinion for using malfeasance as my primary in shattered throne for almost 6 runs. Malfeasance supposedly grants 60-65% bonus damage against taken, and I was using the full dreaming city armor with 3 transcendent blessing and 2 riven curse mods which is supposed to grant slightly above 25% bonus damage in dreaming city. From what I noticed, malfeasance does do that extra bit of damage but is still outgunned by my kindled orchid hand canon which has kill clip and rampage. I have not used malfeasance in gambit against invaders where its supposed to 3-tap, but that is so ridiculous since most invaders hop in with a thunderlord or queensbreaker.

                      • I think it's ok, it's just not much of a spectacle. If it had like a noticeable detonation like it looked like it had in the trailer, even if it isn't the best, I think it would at least be fun in that regard. Think of suros, it has a lot under it's belt, and besides being an auto rifle, I think it's pretty much the best one there is. Obviously it needs a form of a buff, but besides what it has, it really isn't all that fun to use. See, I think a lot of exotics need to be more flamboyant, or at least more interesting to look at. With prometheus, it's got an enlarging ball of fire that damages targets, not exactly good because of that perk, but definitely more fun. Malfeasance is solid for damage as a primary, but it's not...fun. Give it explodes or have the chewies coat the target in taken shit to show it being eaten or something, I don't know.
