Don't Kill the Wizards in Gambit
This is a tactic I've seen some very smart teammates use in Gambit and I have to say, it really seems to being working. Don't kill the Wizards, don't use any Power Weapons, Supers or the IKELOS shotty.
Simply sit in the back of the spawn and shoot the Primeval with Auto Rifles. Slow and steady wins the race afterall.
Also, remember to let the Invader kill you any chance you get.

I saw the latest trend in Gambit the last two days.. Just sit next to the portal and let the enemy team summon their primeval and just invade them until they give up.. seriously seems to work or why else would there be whole teams sitting back next the portal and not doing anything like shooting ads or collect motes.. just wait until the opposing team summons their and try to outrun your own teammates and get kills as an invader.. what could possibly go wrong there?

Also don’t forget to always let the enemy team fill your zone up with blockers.

Also... Leave all the blockers in the middle. It makes it so much easier for the invader to pick you off, further compounding the amount you are behind.

Also remember... When you win the first round by an absolute effing landslide and you've noticed there's [b]ONE[/b] person on your team with 1K... Make sure you hog all the heavy ammo so that the 1K doesn't get to see the light of day, and you proceed to take the L for the next two rounds.

4 RepliesEdited by シOblivionシ: 11/15/2018 9:49:05 AMYes this is absolutely correct as I see 90% of guardians using this exact tactic. I for one have mastered this 100% Edit. You forgot to mention jumping in to collect the motes just as the hydra explodes and losing all the motes you stole.

Anyway, we were about halfway through a match and we were in the lead. Then we see Invasion portal active We quickly discuss who is best outfitted to invade, supers, heavy, etc. But as we send someone over to the portal, we see the blueberry running into the portal instead, and he has 14 motes. We start freaking out. Unfortunately the guy didn’t have a mic so he couldn’t hear a thing we said. At that point we all slow down and watch the bottom left of the screen. We see Player 1 (golden guns) enemy player 1 Player 1 (golden guns) enemy player 2 ... ... ... ... We are biting our nails at this point, not because the 14 motes were important to us, but we were anxious to see if this mystery player’s bravery would pay off. About five seconds left on the invade when Player 1 (rocket launchers) player 3 Player 1 (rocket launchers) player 2 He’s sent back and a cheer erupts from my group. Immediately he’s smacked by a knight and looses all the motes. We lost that match because we couldn’t stop laughing. Edit: I didn’t know so many people would like this! Thank you! Another good tip is to not protect any carriers who have 10-15 motes when being invaded, that's a surefire way to win the match.

My entire team does this, no matter what. Random team? This happens. Use the LFG to get a group? This happens. Considering trying it myself. BTW to fully get the stray to work you need a white or green auto rifle

Petting your chicken is a very effective method to a win as well.

Or when you're the one with the motes to summon primeval but you go invade and die.

As I look around and see the rest of my team nowhere near me and realize I am about to die cause everything is focusing me and I have no help and nobody carrying motes but me. Get to the end after losing I have 90+ kills with over 100 motes banked lost 12 motes the next guy has 20 motes banked and 24 kills and it goes down from there. Then there is the guy group you kill things start grabbing motes or so you you thought but there is at least one guy that runs in grabs all the motes only to run through and get to the area you havn't cleared yet and he dies with your motes. Get to the end of the match you have 90+ kills 30 motes banked 0 lost and the others have 15 kills 50 motes lost and 30 motes banked blaming you for losing.

4 RepliesSeriously.. at minimum you would think even the most oblivious people would use something other than a primary for the boss. Or the idiot that acts like they’re helping the team sitting near the bank killing the blockers. Literally the guy was sitting by the bank the entire game. There needs to be more tutorial type things for players maybe idk.

If you use the exotic Mine emote in front of either teams Primeval you will instantly win the game. Try it next time.

2 RepliesEveryone knows u must use two primary weapons and always use ur heavy and ur super on adds so u can have plenty of auto rifle ammo to shoot at the primevil from 1/2 mile away. Also if those pesky void shielded wizards get in the way stop firing. Oh and last n most important send hate mail to the guy with 72% primevil damage and 12 invader kills saying it's his fault u lost bc he didn't revive u.
