Is The EP Shotgun Still Worth Grinding For?
So I missed out on obtaining this during the Warmind era. If I took the time to search for a team and farmed for the Ikelos_SG would it be worth it? Like, is it still the powerhouse it once was?

Finally around like 20 attempts later I’ve finally got it!

So my light level on my warlock is 555 and everything is pretty even except my warlock bond which is only light level 548. I’m wondering if i should risk wasting a bunch of weekly and daily mission to get a higher warlock bond, which would result in only +1 overall light level or should i do the higher stuff first and then do my weekly and daily missions to fix my jagged edges, what would benefit me more? I really need to know before the reset. Thanks ;)

Yes. I farmed this weekend and it’s fairly easy to get because you’re now over a hundred power higher than EP

11 RepliesIt used to be better...it got a serious nerf when it moved slots...used to be the best shotty in the game hands down...is it worth it now? Hard to say...if you like the status symbol then yes - are you really gonna use it? Probably not as much as you would think...

I'd say it is. Even though I hardly used it much. Also it and all of the other weapons and armor sets (for at least one class) from the CoO and Warmind are part of a collections badge that you need in order to unlock the Wayfarer Triumph Seal. Besides I've noticed a rise of people participating in Escalation Protocol since you can get well above the recommended light level for it.

Okay, some of the people in these comments trying to downplay the Ikelos_SG are out of their minds. We'll start with the fact that this is, single-handedly, the most damaging PvE weapon in the game. Combined with Shattering Strike or Melting Point for the extra vulnerability - and you will be taking down bosses in a clip or less of the Shotgun. Hell, because of the EP Shotgun, it's possible to do Shuro Chi without having to stun her with the Taken Charge. It's not possible otherwise.
