Is It Just Me Or Are There No Exotics Dropping?
I mean, like anywhere?!
I've done public events, crucible, yes gambit too, Nightfall and NOTHING!
Something is wrong!

Btw, I also used a combination of 3oCs and the fireteam medallion, that's all with almost 8 str8 hours of playing too!

The game is being rolled back to D1 standards, where the dropping of exotics was a MUCH rarer event.

Today's Daily Challenge is the Heroic Adventure on Mars. You have a really good chance of getting one there, so do it on multiple characters before reset. Also, a Fated Engram from Xur. - [i] I'm assuming you are trying to get Year 1 Exotic Armor with Year 2 perks[/i]

1 ReplyI had a legendary engram drop during legacy strikes that turned into a suros once I picked it up. Also my clan exp engram on my Titan got the Mask of Quiet one with new perks. Other than that I've merely gained more gunsmith materials and legendary marks.

P.s. i advice you to not use 3oC or the medaillon, as to me, i feel like this is preventing me from getting any exotics, rather than help getting. Just my own exp with it and i guess i know what i'm talking about, as i have them all and never get any by using boons.

1 Replyive had nothing in the week so far except one exotic from xur on the weekly engram. otherwise i havent even seen an exotic drop for anyone at public events. if they are rarer much rarer thats one thing. but if they are so rare they never drop, then i'll still be in the same situation i was since they nerfed the levels - doing the flashpoint and clan engrams and if they dont upgrade what i actually use or after i stop getting drops that infuse, quit playing until the next tuesdays. the danger is that towards the end of august i really didnt want to play at all feeling i never got anywhere with the rng of the only two powerful gear engrams i want to play for. i wont raid because of the elitist and intolerant people who raid, and the poor choice of one dies, all die. strikes dont give powerful gear, only legendaries and i dont enjpoy them because ppl speed run them. nightfall the only way i can do it is solo and i cant solo it without dying over and over and not getting anywhere or running out of ammo. so realistically, if exotics dont drop at all, or are so rare you dont get one in a week of play, i can see Destiny 2 getting uninstalled. and thats something i never though would happen until the exotic level nerf. but they say some mechanics arent in operation until tuesday patch when forsaken drops. so hopefully these issues will be fixed then.

Same. But I think it’s just this week until Forsaken drops. Xur’s inventory shows updated exotics. Assuming that’s happening for everything. 🤷♂️

They are dropping less. You can get plenty from the raid and the chests in the underbelly.

5 RepliesOne of the problems in Y1 was that exotics were being handed out like they were having a sale. It made them meaningless. I would rather have the exotics be rarer than just have them given to me for completing public events. Plus this actually makes Xur worth seeing when he shows up.

I got Merciless to drop from Spire of Stars on Thursday and an engram while doing flashpoint pubs on mars. I've also gotten at least Crimson, , Winters Guile x2 and Sweet Business from doing the heroic adventures on Mars as well. (On each character) 3oC are garbage and don't work for Jack. But it wouldn't surprise me if they staggered drops so people don't hoard them and (maybe) get new Exotics day 1 when Foresaken comes out.

I got Helm of Saint-14 the other day, so they are definitely dropping. Seems the drop rate has been reduced, which is a good thing.

I haven’t had any exotics drop either. I’ve done all the “challenges”/milestones, farmed public events like crazy, did crucible and nothing’s dropped. Probably another usual “bug” lol

I got one when i reset my valor rank but other than that i havent seen any. But before the update I didn’t get a lot either so whatever

Drop rates are fine for them. People just got spoiled during the first year of destiny 2 when they were handed out like candy
