Even after all this time, there's still no matchmaking for nightfalls, Why? Yeah I get it, everyone has the access to find people on here but majority of the time I don't get invites when I find people. I can't think of a reason why matchmaking for nightfalls shouldn't be a thing. This has been a problem since D1. The heroic strikes recommended 350 light and you could match up with people. A normal nightfall is recommended 270 light but I have to find people on my own? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Still in beta for some reason.

3 RepliesAgree Every mode that requires a team Should have matchmaking. It's idiotic to not have it on every mode. Being forced to use a separate app is ridiculously stupid, but then the devs on this game don't seem too bright anyway . Not everyone has a phone that will run the app.

Normal nightfalls would benefit from MM, prestige I can see not having it.

out if any mmo ive ever played this game has absolute worst way of trying to get a group together you have to basically be in a clan message someone outside the game itself or get on an app or webpage to find a group its atrocious. it really makes me wonder what the hell they were thinking with it all no way to chat in game other than if your already in a fireteam and its only voice chat. i get having an in game chat could always bring spammers but anything is better than the grouping system we have now.

1 ReplyMaybe the stupidest thing bungie has done. No excuse for it. It you don't want matchmaking don't use it
-
2 RepliesThat’s what guided games pretty much is. You just have to wait a while to find two people by yourself or not even a minute if your with someone.

10 RepliesI got a idea to add matchmaking for nightfall .Its actually pretty easy to fix. Just add matchmaking and when the game find 3 players , they go to a lobby, in the lobby the captain of the fireteam can setup the challenge cards, and peoples will see the modifiers then they will adapt their loadout, once a player is ready, just add a ready check, once everyone is ready, the strike start launching... i think its a pretty good idea.. Im all ear for comments and opinions. What do you guys think about that?

HEROIC STRIKES ARE HARDER THAN NIGHTFALLS. DONT ACCEPT BUNGOS BS!
-
Half the community don't even play pve not unless they match ppl by light lvl.

1 ReplyIt'd be hella hard to matchmake when everyone's challenge card could be set up differently. Probably way easier to post an lfg saying Strange Terrain - solar singe - heavyweight - whisper As it stands, that combo makes for a very easy solo.

Edited by jaybird_29730: 8/30/2018 5:01:38 PMI finally get it. No match making is in place to save you frustration. How so? The same reason they make job applications such a pain in the arse to fill out. They can tell whether or not they want to hire you, or not, in your resume alone. However, what they really want to know is how bad do you want the job. If you want to run nightfall bad enough you will make a post, and a party, and two others will put forth the effort of searching the forums to join. Thus, increasing the chance of a successful NF run. Strikes have match making, and around 10% of the people you will encounter will at some point try either tide pods, or partake in the overabundance of cotton candy up in the attic. I have quit in the middle of those simply to keep my sanity. When your paired up with two people that cause you to quit or would rather solo the damn thing you will understand.

Agreed, but there is no logic is what Bungie does.

16 RepliesBecause we have the app and with the new version of the fire team finder it literally takes seconds to get a group together for a nightfall or raid.

There are so many reasons that it shouldnt have match making. Its end game content so youre only doing it for weapons and score. U should be in a clan and always have ppl available to play with if youre not in a clan youre playing d2 wrong. LFG is super easy and takes seconds to find a team. The companion app is so easy that if u cant just download it and press a couple buttons youre just complaining for no reason now.

I’ve always been a fan of no matchmaking for the more difficult end game content, which, back in the day, included the nightfall. Now that the heroic playlist is more difficult, I don’t understand. That being said, LFGing it takes 20 seconds tops, so it’s not that inconvenient.
-
Because its suppose to be difficult but since the powerlevel is held back for people who dont own the dlc’s its easier than the heroic strikes. I needs matchmaking, atleast on easy mode( normal)
-
For absolutely no good reason.
-
Still not sure of this, it’s a strike and one that’s not so difficult at that. It should have matchmaking by now: but bungo...

You can invite players in game from the app. It's so easy to get a nightfall team together now.
