This is why D2 needs separate balancing for PvP and PvE...

The problem with Wormhusk is that it grants health regen on a very short cooldown ability, as well as it doesn’t require any type of kill to activate. Both warlocks and titans must kill an opponent to have health regeneration granted. (Except healing rift) I don’t feel that health regeneration belongs in the hunter play-style. Take it from me, I’ve mained the class since TTK dlc. I would prefer that Wormhusk is completely reworked as full health regeneration on a super short cooldown mobility based ability that doesn’t require a kill to activate is just broken.

This is a waste of a poll. We all know Hunters make up the majority of the sub, and guardians overall, and they will never agree to nerf one of their own abilities I stopped playing Warlock for the first time ever and hopped on the Hunter bandwagon all because of wormhusk. Its too strong in Crucible to not use. Its the strongest neutral ability in all of Destiny Bungie has the data and can see Wormhusk is OP and overused.
-
Instead of nerfing let’s get the other classes some good exotics yeah?

3 RepliesEdited by Joker_Karasu: 7/8/2018 5:11:06 PMUm the insurmountable skullfort causes regen on melee, Titans can spec to have their melee reset in 10 seconds and warlocks have devour with Nezarec’s sin and several exotics that speed up rift. What’s wrong with Hunter’s have an exotic that starts regen on dodge?
-
18 RepliesHunters are just -blam!-ing trash and needed a pussy exotic to make them “better” lmao.
-
Eh. Hunters can have their toys. With the upcoming buff to Karnstein Armlets, I'll too have even more health regen abilities ;)
-
25 RepliesCan you imagine how many hunters would scream OP if there were any exotic that made Icarus dash heal whenever it was used, even if it didn't start Regen and only gave a small bump it would be nerfed immediately
-
I'm getting so many Dodge This medals that this helmet doesn't bother me.
-
I am a hunter I don't have wormhusk so Im not defending it but I have played against it and if you just disengage then you will live...
-
2 RepliesThis is more player awareness then anything. If you are in a gun fight with a hunter that you know is wearing the helmet and they dodge, just pull back and get your health back.
-
25 RepliesI’m a hunter main and this exotic and arc staff need a nerf. Bump for you
-
This is why people need to read the news from Bungie and realise they are "mid-buff" on all of the exotics. Not to mention the random rolls coming up soon for new gear. Its not going to get nerfed.
-
No. No. No. Why do fools like this never learn, the game is the way it has been throughout D2 because of twats like this one.
-
While I wouldn’t nerf it, I do think pve and pvp need to be separate
-
6 RepliesI don't really get it, this daily Wormhusk witch hunt. I don't use it due to a meta allergy, but when I tried it, it wasn't all that. Personally I feel this daily ritual is because of its overuse.
-
16 RepliesBuff other exotics so Hunters have more choice. Same goes for Warlock and Titan exotics. I almost never use any other Warlock exotic in PvP other than Ophidian Aspect cause most are pointless or too situational.
-
6 RepliesNo nerfs, just buff up others.
-
Buff titan exotics
-
NO NERFS NEVER AGAIN
other classes just need new exotics and I'm sure you boi's will get that in forsaken
13 RepliesNot overpowered they’re overused

2 RepliesEdited by TwoFiveOne_: 7/5/2018 12:35:46 AMOh boy! I get to post my rant. Let’s compare the healing of Wormhusk to the healing of other restoratives in the game, shall we? Everything stated will be based on facts, and repeated experiences. How this information is interpreted is up to you. Healing rift doesn’t instantly heal. The process takes longer then most other restoratives, the animation takes time around 1.5 seconds, the cooldown is the longest of any class ability. It also requires the user to stay in the small area during the slow healing process. It does continue healing even after taking damage, but the healing is slow enough that it can often be overpowered by high dps weapons like Antiope and Graviton. However, it can provide some utility against other weapons, and allows someone to get back into cover easily, especially if the rift has already been placed. Devour does instantly heal, but the cooldown is rather long on the grenade, it requires the user to give up throwing the grenade in order to receive the regeneration, and stringing together kills can be done but is rather inconsistent considering the teamshot meta. Also, because the user has the option to throw the grenade instead of devouring it, they statistically don’t use devour 100% of the time. If a warlock is caught in a sticky situation, they won’t have a grenade to devour if they had already used their grenade on a previous adversary. However, it pairs very nicely with kill clip weapons, since it’s easier to chain kills, so it’s far from useless. Crest of Alpha Lupi has very minor healing and is generally best used as a last resort only. It requires the user to activate their barrier to get the heal, and it heals very little. Of course, there is lag when activating the barrier before you can fight again, so this is considered by most people to be a rather situational option. But all that being said, it can provide a small bit of extra health in an emergency that can potentially save your life. Phoenix dive has a cooldown of about 3 seconds. Off of a normal jump , it takes about 3 full seconds to regenerate a full amount, which when grounded is about a third. There is also significant ending lag before you can start fighting again. It also requires the user to stay completely still for the duration. Regenerating to full health without any elevated surfaces takes about 7 seconds, and most PvP maps don’t provide high enough surfaces to allow a significant regeneration. But the cooldown is short enough that it can provide a small amount of emergency health, similar to crest, but on a shorter cooldown. Wormhusk regenerates health quicker than most other restoratives in the game. The cooldown is much shorter than other options as well. It also allows the user to keep moving during the healing process, they aren’t limited to a small area of affect. The dodge doesn’t affect a hunter’s speed in any significant way. While it is true that the process can be interrupted by getting shot, dodging in cover easily solves most of the problems with this weakness. Even dodging into cover works if the opponent doesn’t land a bullet in the brief moment. The process is fast enough that hunters are almost always full health by the time they are pushed. Their vertical jump helps to ensure that they are not found before the process is complete. Now, with all that being said, it is worth noting that it is arguably the only good source of regeneration hunters have. Their armor sets almost always spec for armor and mobility. There are other sources, like Combination Blow, but they don’t activate as reliably. This is why hunters benefit from Wormhusk so much, and nerfing it could cripple the class... but that’s just speculation. Rant end.

1 ReplyBuff it; should grant invis & over shield.
-
Best hunter exotic in the game for PvP. Maybe bungie should make better exotics than nerfing a good one.
-
Titans and Warlocks can heal themselves so I dont see a problem with Hunters being able to as well.
-
49 RepliesDamn thing needs to go. Only reason the poll has a majority saying "its fine" is because of how many biased huntards this community has. It's been a thing since D1, and always will be a thing sadly.
-
I agree with others that they don't necessarily need to nerf it but when it works better than a Warlock's healing rift I think there is a problem lol
