OP is clearly a moron. In your own post you point out that people want difficulty getting exotics. Bungies response is to keep exotic drops the same, but remove the thing that makes the exotic special. Then lock that away behind an extra RNG wall. Once you get that locked away piece, you get to grind, repeatedly, for hours in order to use the broken off piece that was then locked away. The catalyst model exist for one, and only one reason. To increase "average hours played" for their stat report to Activision...
