  • Awesome, thanks for screwing over the solo players. I'm sure this will make me and other solos join clans and use lfg now, not. Those that enjoy the circle jerks that are raids and trials will enjoy their power levels that will make EGC easier for them. Good luck with that fall DLC.

      Well....Looks like lone wolfs are shit outta luck In the Egc department...Off to god of war. It's 100% fine that you want people to grind for max light, but why are there only two sources of Egc? both team oriented....and nightfall doesn't count. [b]Can lone wolfs get some gd egc? [/b][b] I'm not asking for a hand out, Im asking for a Challenge I can do on my own time. Solo Raid, or something. WITH SICK LOOT LIKE TOO AND IB HAS.[/b] P.S Some people play solo [b]because that's what they want to do[/b], or there friends quit/play other game due to....well D2, Not because they can't find a team. I know how to use lfg, I've had to do it for most of destiny. I don't feel like going through the hassle of dealing with players quitting, or raging. If you can do it, or have a team. More power to you. [i]End game content in destiny[/i], Half the battle is keeping a group of randoms from quitting. EDIT: The dlcs on the psn store is 15% off...30$. I would buy it, but I don't feel like there is anything for me personally. During the reveal of D2 bungie made a big deal about lone wolfs having a lot to do. Bring back the campaign playlist with mods, prestige difficulty, and good loot.

        Taking away exotics as a mean of leveling up is past asinine. It's a tool used by sorry coders to prolong the agony of playing a game that is a very pale shadow, at best, of Destiny 1. They finally got most of it right, *Destiny 1*, and then decided to throw a wrench in the works with Destiny 2, which is the living embodiment of disappointment. I suspect that this is probably the reason that the current population is about 3% of those who have actually bought the game. Go figure. There should be absolutely limitless opportunities to level up. I say this as someone who has 1000+ hours into the game. It's pathetic. On top of that that, well over 1/2 of this "game" is hidden behind DLC, *pay to play*, and microtransactions. It's pathetic.RNG is the tool of absolute loser coders, hence why bungo uses it. There's no reason to have an absolutely atroscious scale of drop power possibilities, except, to force the grind on an extremely poorly designed game that has NO other attraction. Getting to top level should be reasonable, not grindaholic crap. Limited leveling opportunities is a tool for the weak coder because they have NOTHING ELSE TO OFFER. D1 got away from this and it was fantastic how many new players came online. D2 has gone back to this and yeah, I'll point out that 3% number for ya again. Anyway, my thoughts

          • I don’t see the changes to light level progression helping anything. They certainly don’t fix the problem that after clearing out weekly milestones, the aggressively time-gated nature of progression actually feels like a punishment for spending time playing the game. It’s a lazy attempt to slow down progression, and it sucks for players; always has. There need to be legitimate ways to keep your light moving towards the cap at all times (without having to depend on forced heavily multiplayer content like raids), particularly as it helps compensate for the frustration of being stuck for weeks below cap waiting for a damn class item to finally drop from a powerful engram so you can finish up. RNG screwing with progression is not fun at all, and is a big part of why I gave up bothering keeping my extra characters leveled up (the other ties into my next point). The reason light level progression doesn’t feel rewarding doesn’t really have anything to do with how long the process takes; it’s that the influence of light level is normalized away in the vast majority of playable content once you pass the minimum threshold. So for many players, after clearing story, it is functionally an empty number that has no practical feedback on their gameplay. Summed up simply, light level as a progression system doesn’t feel rewarding or impactful because it has no real impact. Personally, I think the game would be better off getting rid of light level entirely and embracing its irrelevance, and handling whatever difficulty scaling is needed for endgame activities in a less arcane manner that doesn’t involve feeding useless new gear into all the gear we care about for an excessive period every time a new expansion comes out.

            • I dont have people to play raids and trials (because they all left and i dont want to play with strangers). Am i screwed now? You have to make this game more soloable. That doesnt mean it has to be easier. Solo-Raid or Solo-Horde-Mode. PvP Playlist for Solo-Gamers. You cant focus on Multiplayer Activities when there are barely any players left. Its like selling Boats in the Desert.

              • I just want to say. 6v6 iron banner and this go fast update has been the most fun I have ever had in the crucible since destiny 1. I hadn't played in a long time. But I thought it was time to open that blizzard app for this event. And I'm glad I did. Thanks for these great improvements bungie! Please make 6v6 permanent!!!! And thanks for buffing dawnbreaker. It's usable now :):):)

              • I am all for making light cap harder to max out. Now if you could only make light level mean something. Make power level matter in trials and iron banner.

              • These changes sound great and will help keep people engaged week after week! Really excited to try this out and be rewarded for taking on the raid content (question being will all three raid activities be able to raise power level high?) This really adds a long term goal for those that are interested and would be wanting to tackle end game activities anyways. Do you have any info on what end game activities will be set at? How long do you think it will take for someone to raise their power level to a point they could (likely) attempt to clear a new raid lair for example? Also thank goodness you removed Exotic farming. That always sucked when all my fireteam wanted to do was grind public events endlessly just to get a duplicate item to raise Power level. Keep up the good work Bungie and ignore anyone that is giving you unwarranted harassment or non constructive criticism.

                    I was thinking about coming back and playing the new dlc on the 8th but I am not dealing with a more annoying progression system. It was irritating enough already with needing specific drops to level up specific items and everything being weighted so that you only get junk. What armor drop do you get most everyone will say gloves you get gloves close to 65% more often then anything else. What weapon drop do you get most this may vary more but for me sub machine guns out the ass followed closely by shotguns then side arms. No bungie hell no before I quit I had only received four max level auto rifles drops (one of which was that mercury auto rifle) so really three. One of them was an exotic meaning i would only have received two autorifles in the first eight or so weeks of season two. Hell no do not do this bullshit. I for one will not deal with it. It is annoying enough. By the way to be clear if i came back I have to come back alone my friends refuse that means doing shit solo because i can not be bothered with adding new people too old to bother. I am not getting anyone to come back ever if you mess up the progression system this way either. Actually I don't care I am not redownloading this for the dlc even though i paid for it. I can not be bothered to deal with this cancer anyway.

                  • So, Bungie, you want to make not being max light terrible for players and make the road to max level terrible as well? I guess that's one way to interpret complains about lack of grind and light level being meaningless. I less moronic and non-assholish interpretation would be to give us a better quality experience.

                    I highly advise you make exotics still decode at higher levels but make them far more of a rare drop than they currently are. This would achieve your goal of thwarting public event farming for exotic engrams, whilst still allowing them to be an opportunity to increase your level and offer a generally rewarding experience overall.

                      I think you get your game in the right way but I say it's too late for you to repair this damage. Still NO new content; most I've seen in destiny 1 like iron banner or this crappy token rallye (was better in destiny 1). Updates need decades of time and most of your good changes come in september. I bet you,ve saw your player base after your updates on Xbox one, PS4 and PC. Still too low for a fresh AAA-Game. I will save my money for games like Biomutant, RDR2 or Gintama Rumble. I've sold destiny 2 for monster hunter world. It's a great game, but I hope I can buy your game in the future again, if you're game is playable. Of course at a discount with all your dlcs. I still have a hope for this game. Please don't let me/us down again. I will read your updates and TWAB. Your last chance will be May 8th. If this failed again, you won't be able to repair your damage in this game and your future games.
