Mother-blam!-ing Tethers in PVP
I was playing some Mayhem in D2 and this one guy with the Hunter Void subclass kept shutting down my Supers. It's is terribly overpowered as it shuts down Grenades, class specifics (shields, healing pools, etc), the ability to go super, and movement. It's ridiculous that one Super can completely shut down multiple players at once. It needs to be nerfed now.

I had a run of several Mayhem matches against teams of three and four Nightstalkers. Who would camp in the smallest corner of the map they could find. Then, the moment you pinged their radar they’d start firing shadowshot, rockets and Colony grenades at the relevant choke point. Everything that’s wrong with Destiny 2 pvp in a nutshell. But that’s a meta problem and map design problem.

If you get Teathered you lose your super, but, get Hammered or Nova Bombed or Golden Gunned etc. etc. you [i]also[/i] lose your super... because you [i]die[/i], right? I mean, think about that. What other super can you get hit with and then kill the guy who just supered you? OP? No. Annoying? Sure, but not OP. Nerf it? How? What would you have it do? Are you really saying 'this annoys me so get rid of it and replace it with something that instantly kills me because that's less annoying'?

1 ReplyGolden Gun can kill 3 players Nova Bomb can kill an entire team Panic Smash Titan can kill an entire Team Arch Strider now can wipe teams Dawn Blade now has Mario's super jump boots and can kill 3-4 players. Storm Caller and Sentienal Suxxx... but Tether super doesn't even kill people it debuffs them. They can suppress a whole team (that are holding hands like children) But tether rarely gets an entire team killed. Also you can shoot the damn thing and kill it so if you and your teammates get tethered just join hands again and team shoot it like you do 1 player that comes around a corner.

You know every super is just a counter super, and titans have that super in a grenade.

Mayhem is not something you are supposed to take seriously, and nerfing something based on such a casual game mode is not reasonable. Golden Gun and Sunbreaker also do well in this mode but don’t see much use in regular pvp because both of them have a pretty bad neutral game.
