Yeah, I’m not a fan of random rewards. I spent hours this weekend grinding public events. I turned in all my tokens and didn’t get Hollow Earth.
I joined all three factions and got the weapons from the others. The one I really wanted I just couldn’t get. Now maybe next month I’ll get it.
I wish they didn’t cap you. I still got time but I’m locked out of getting anything but shaders.
This is why random rolls suck. I’d rather get random mod perks I can put on a weapon or armor this way I have some control.

Got to be the worst rng ever, it was the most common drop I saw. Next time!
-
I barely played and got 2, RNG is a bitch
-
<Random Rolls wouldn't need to be a thing if we had better perks... which I would prefer because unlike (apparently most on the forum) I wasn't to keen on doing Omnigul or the Undying Mind over and over again.>
-
7 RepliesAll random rolls did was dilute the loot pool. Back in Destiny 1 if the weapon you got wasn't a god roll you dismantled it. All Destiny 2 has done is cleared the loot pool out.
-
1 ReplyThat is just crappy RNG. How many other weapons did u delete on site chasing that gun? In a game with random rolls, you still would have had trash drops that got deleted, but you may have gotten a couple of gems in there. All that changed with random rolls is that the some of the automatic deletion trash drops u keep getting may play well, different or interesting. Food for thought.

3 Replies70+ packages across 2 faction rallies, no submachine gun from FWC. I win.

1 ReplyEdited by Madman Asunder: 2/28/2018 2:19:46 PMI don't think random rolls are better than static rolls. I want static rolls to stay and I want the mod system to get decked out (as you suggest). Build your perfect weapon. don't luck into it and "praise the sun" when party crasher max range finally drops. Also. I want the static rolls to be more interesting. Static rolls aren't the problem with loot feeling "meh"... "meh" perks in general are the problem I feel.
-
They eliminated random rolls and the game is dying rapidly. Your right, static rolls was a good choice.
-
You're not missing much. Hollowed Earth/ more range harder to control. Perseverance/ the opposite
-
Maybe if there was no limit or factions are what they used to be, that wouldn't be an issue. Random Rolls aren't the issue, the current faction system is.
-
Huh. I got it. Didn't really think it was all that special. If only I could get another one with some better perks....

26 RepliesEdited by mikemacon: 2/27/2018 7:45:47 PMNope. The “faction rally” crap artificially narrows the opportunity to get the gun you want via (a) limiting your opportunity to a small window of time and (b) actually limiting how often you can try for the gear by capping how and how many “tokens” you can get. In D1, the vendors had fixed vendor rolls you could buy with Legendary Marks...and then random rolls you could chase to your heart’s content without limitation outside of time-based events (like Iron Banner) - but even then you weren’t capped in any other way in that chase. You could queue up for IB as many times as you liked and your drop rate wasn’t affected. Random rolls gave you something to chase if you didn’t prefer the fixed vendor rolls. Nice try, though.

Duplicates of the same thing every other engram.
-
I still want random rolls, but I agree that the cap is just stupid. Shouldn't have been added in the first place.
-
1 ReplyThat stinks. It's decent but the Sand Wasp or Perseverance are honestly better options. I don't really even play much anymore but I logged on last Thursday or Friday, spammed the lost sector on Titan for enough tokens to get 5 packages, and ended up with 3 Hollow Earth's. Did the same for the other factions to get the new guns, 5 packages each, got everything, logged out. I only log in now to get the new stuff just in case somewhere down the road this game recovers. I don't want to regret not getting the guns later on like I did with year 1.
-
5 RepliesThe engrams cap is ridiculous. Are they afraid of us getting more dupes? It needs to go. Sorry you didn’t get it. I got 3 (derp). It’s a really fun gun too. On the flip side, I didn’t get the doubt from FWC on my warlock.
-
The fact that there is a limit is Bungie's worst decision yet.
-
Sorry man... Good on you for choosing dead Orbit though.
-
Before they started selling Armor, it took me 60 packages to get a set ot Titan Dead Orbit Armor (finally got the mark on package 60). On my hunter, I never could get FWC boots until they started selling it. I'd like to see a knockout list.
-
1 ReplyI got no new weapons from any of the 3 factions, just the fwc primary sidearm 5 times I believe. And with an hour remaining before reset they decide to do a maintenance that will eat up the last hour so I/we get screwed out of any possible rewards. Why? Your player base is lower than ever so why piss off what is still remaining. I just don't understand these people.
-
How about pick your faction and continue whenever you want like D1. Don’t fix what ain’t broke....
-
6 RepliesThat sucks. :( Want to hear something funny? You know that generic side arm that all 3 factions got added to their loot pool with the last faction rally? 2 faction rallies, 60 engrams later.....still haven't gotten it. I don't mind too much because it probably sucks, but I find it pretty funny.
-
Better luck next month guardian😃
-
3 RepliesHow do you know you reached the cap?
-
Well guess i was lucky played till I had 40 tokens it drop at the 2e engram.
-
I was lucky and got the Linear Fusion after 6 or so. And 3 later, I got the auto. The loot pool is bloated with all the previous faction guns and it only gets worse.
