Nah, I think being able to solo your way to max power should be a thing. It should take a lot longer, but still be doable (like in Rise of Iron). However, I do believe that the Raid and Trials gear should be top tier in terms of power and utility and should not be available if you don't "git gud".

Having other ways to get max power loot is what made the raid and trials not worth grinding, hence why we don't have a worth doing end game in this game. I know it's not fair for people who play it solo/casually but at this point bungie need to decide whether to keep the game casual or turn it back to the grindy game it was before to get back its hardcore players.

I agree that they need to make it more challenging or even grindy, as you say. However "solo" and "casual" are not the same thing. And here's what I mean by that. I'll tell you what I can do solo and you tell me how "casual" that is: 1. The Nightfall (D1 and D2) 2. Skolas and any other PoE 3. Crota 4. Pre-AoT Oracles and Templar 5. Black Spindle 6. (the last ToM mission) forgot the name 7. Heroic Adventures List goes on. And I'm working on the Castellum encounter in Leviathan. [spoiler]I only got D2 2 weeks ago and I never even played the raid with anyone[/spoiler] I started out alone, I played a lot alone and even though I've been in a clan for 3 years now, they're all Americans so I can't play with them more than once every few weeks because I'm from Europe. You see, it's not the same. I'm not asking for it to be easy. I'm just asking for there to be a window of opportunity for high skill players to get stuff done alone. I have time after work every day, but I don't have anyone to play with. And frankly, after all this time and all the games I soloed I'm fine with that.
