Will these new updates bring you back to playing Destiny?
Just seems like a few background changes that don't change the major fundamental flaws.

No. The fixes are all great, but Destiny has gone more away from a loot grind rpg since day 1. What they did with D2 wasn’t really a surprise, especially when originally when announced Destiny was going to have farmable bosses with specific loot tables. This is the direction they have chosen and it just is not what I fell in love with. I will raid with my clan when new content come out because I paid for it already. However, that will be the last time I play Destiny unless they go back to making a rpg shooter, instead of a collection game.

No. I always thought and have even mentioned in other posts that bungie needs to make these changes fast as time is not on their side this go around. Yet, they feel the need to take a year to make some fundamental changes that many feel we should've had already. Besides, it seems everyone has at least some game coming out that they must have. Mine is God of War and Red Dead 2, so I'd rather wait for those instead of updates that still won't fix a broken game. In retrospect, it's real disheartening, at the same time laughable that for the last 2+ years there was always this game or that game is going to kill destiny, and it seems like it did it on its own.

Nothing that’s being said is ground breaking, or even going to make D2 as good as end of D1. You can’t fix moronic moves like 2 primaries, 99% garbage weapons, awful subclasses, awful PVP etc. with little rinkie dinkie changes.

The main problem I have with D2 is that there is nothing to do. The update roadmap they have supplied outlines some quality of life changes and PVP changes, but I’m not coming back for PVP. There are much better games to play if I want to PVP. The lack of items on the update roadmap pertaining to giving me something interesting to do in the game is why I will continue to look elsewhere to spend my limited amount of free time (and discretionary monies).

I'll play through the expansion story like I did with CoO (about 4 hours) then not touch it again until everything else is implemented (only because I was a chump that bought the expansion pass: lesson learned, never again). Even then, I'll be skeptical if the changes are enough. The only winning move, is not to play. The more people that play this game, the more satisfied Bungie is with keeping things as they are. The less people that continue to play, the more likely were going to push the developers (Bungie) out of their comfort zone and give us what we actually want.

These guys are completely incompetent as a development studio. - Nothing to fix Players feeling weak as shit. - Nothing to beef up weapon damage. - Nothing to correct the course of "balance" making your game a boring slog. - Nothing to fix the lackluster and extraordinarily shallow loot pool. - Nothing to give players actual choice in how to build a character. - Nothing to fix that Armor has no effect other than appearance changes. - Nothing to make Supers feel... super. - Nothing to address that your PvP is a shit-tier slog of a slow-moving train wreck. - Nothing to address the Eververse being the end-game. - Nothing to fix your atrocious Peer-to-Peer lag issues. - Nothing to actually widen the sub-Class Skill trees. - Nothing to address the fact that it's taking you almost half a year (and for some "improvements", far longer than that) to reintroduce elements that were already present in the first game. It's already written code, that you're having to struggle to work into the -exact same game engine-!? - Nothing to address that weapons are boring, and there's nothing to "grind" for in the loot. Once you're received one weapon, you can immediately destroy every other copy of that weapon, because they will be no different in any way. This is on top of the fact that the loot pool is so shallow, you can receive upwards of six copies of one weapon in a few hours of play time. I mean; am I -really- supposed to be stoked to receive my 33rd Uriel's Gift!? - Your Players have been screaming for the return of 6v6 crucible play since before D2 launched. What do you do? Bring it back, but not as a PvP feature, oh no. You're bringing it back as -an Event-. Not a permanent play list choice. As a timed Event. Which means you will take it away again. Your Players (what few remain), are literally -screaming- for 6v6. And you make it; A. Singular. Event. Are you all that ignorant!? You guys at Bungie have literally -NO- idea what you're doing, and are still blatantly ignoring your Players. Your population will continue to drop, until your hyper-focus on the Eververse and "balance" will leave you with only a couple thousand or a couple tens-of-thousands of players per day maximum. Once population drops that low, there's no way your ever-so-precious MTX's will -ever- fund Luke's chili-dog habit. Bungie has become the worst developer in this industry, and they're too blind and arrogant to see that they're only killing their own studio.

I'll definitely hop on and check it out. The only way they'll completely turn me off from the game is if they brought back random weapon rolls and change the weapon load out. I know people are going to instantly dick ride shotguns and other ohko weapons if that happens. Only way I'd be ok with the weapon system change is if they buff primary weapons.
