All the same things I do now but a lot less conveniently. If I wanted to watch a movie or tv show I’d go to a video store. If I wanted to research a topic I’d read a book (I still do but on a kindle). If I wanted to listen to music I’d buy a record or CD. If if I wanted news I’d buy a paper. My hobbies are the same. I just don’t have to leave the house to access them.

My first hobby was reading, than airplane models mostly WW2 era military planes. After that target/shooting, which is still my hobby and related to my work. Motorcycles and later cars. Even though I stopped riding, I still enjoy restoring motorcycles. I am a little bit of what you call hobbyist audiophile, I have a few high-resolution audio players, several headphones, audio receivers, and a very nice set of floor standing speakers.

Worked on cars, hiking, working out, hunting, fishing, target shooting, archery, biking, reading, D & D, writing, traveling and more that I am forgetting, lol. Edit: Good post btw.

I actually did have people I could hang out with, have sleep overs, play in trees or playgrounds. Although I did also watch a lot of TV and sleep growing up. Also played D&D.

5 RepliesThis is something I still do, albeit less now that I hardly go outside, but I collect anything random that I find. Examples: a die with a dragon on it, a glass rose, a small plastic assault rifle toy, a PlayStation Vita memory card.

I used to go outside [i]a lot[/i] more. Every single day, riding anything with wheels around the neighborhood, just doing laps. I miss it.

Baseball, biking, and going to the gym. I still go to the gym 3-4 times a week, but I don't have the baseball anymore, and I only use my bike to get to work or sparingly.
