Dont have an Xbox one or X myself but this seems pretty cool. Especially if a person might be on the fence about buying a game at launch

1 ReplyLol’d when I saw “Xbox exclusives” in the title.

3 RepliesYou're still better off buying the game itself because: *You're paying monthly for X game(s) which may be a tad expensive in the long run *You lose access to the game(s) you've been playing once your subscription expires. *If the game leaves the pass, you will need to buy it to play it. It's great for trying out games but in the long run, it's cheaper to buy the game itself.

21 RepliesJesus, Microsoft just murdering Sony with all these features for the players while Sony patches the PS4 only to prevent free backwards compatibility😂 how does anyone believe Sonys bs?
-
2 RepliesIf I get my hands on Xbox, definitely getting the Game Pass.
-
5 RepliesThis is huge. When Halo 6 comes out, I have to decide whether I want just the game or the entire Games Pass library for 6 months. For anyone who buys all the Xbox One exclusives, the games pass is a no-brainer. The big drawback is the need for Xbox Live to play games on-line. If Microsoft wants this to work, they need to waive the Xbox Live Gold requirement for Games Pass subscribers.

3 RepliesEdited by renots6: 1/25/2018 7:11:41 PMSucks for the devs but good for gamers. Now the game sales will be even less than they already were. But now devs won't get all that profit from good sales to make new games. Let's hope devs don't want to stop making games for Microsoft exclusively. I'm calling it now. After next gen Xbox won't have consoles anymore. Game pass will be on everything and Xbox will be 100% a service.

3 RepliesIt'll be good for those that are new to Xbox. I have most of the games in the pass. I won't buy Sea of Thieves, after Halo 5 and Gears 4 I'm not likely to get Halo 6 and Gears 5 when they release. I'll also pass on State of Decay 2, there are too many zombie games out there. It will be good for some, but not me.

1 ReplyI’ve kind of ignored game pass but it is getting more and more appealing. I typically don’t play a ton of games at once and mostly multiplayer games for a long time (still play halo 5 as one of my top games). So while I’m not the perfect audience it’s appealing to try out tons of games for only $10. A question I have is how long are games included with game pass typically?

I this is the kind of bold moves Microsoft needs to be making. With the Switch's rise and the PS4's continued domination of this generation Microsoft is slipping into third place. The issue is that Microsoft has an abysmal lineup of first party content. This again strikes me as the fundamental weakness within Microsoft which is putting the cart before the horse. They spend so much time on elaborate ideas for their consoles and ways to play games that they forget to actually make video games. This is laying the groundwork for something great next generation. Let's be clear that the Xbox One is never going to be the success Microsoft wanted it to be. If they can build a stable of first party studios (a process that will still take years) and develop some of these systems now then they could be rocking for the launch of the Next Xbox.

I might get it now

4 RepliesSeems good for us, but I’m worried about what it might do to Xbox game sales. Remember that last time Microsoft did something big like this (play anywhere) it basically gave pc gamers no reason to buy any type of Xbox one.

4 RepliesGreat idea, now they just need some first party games to drop. Hopefully this means MS is going to ramp up production at its in house Studios. Seriously is Crackdown 3 ever going to launch?

alright
-
Wow that’s pretty cool

2 RepliesSmart move by Microsoft. Kinda reminds me of the old blockbuster thing when they didn’t have the foresight to purchase Netflix when they had the chance, and now where is blockbuster? Not saying the other consoles will die from this but It’s definitely wise of Microsoft

1 ReplyI also noticed that Gamefly is renting out movies now. I wonder if that was to counter Xbox game pass or just another way of expanding their business.
-
I think it's pretty cool they're doing that. Makes it much more worth it.
