What finally made you stop playing Destiny?
The childish mask event was it for me.

I have it an honest go. I played up until CoO but found myself dying for my regular group to log off so i could go play something else. I would say the only reason i gave it an honwst go was because of our regular group that we raided and played crucible with. With that said, there were numerous things that made me quit destiny 2. 1. The reduction of playlists in pvp from d1. I raid with a group, why can't i play pvp with that same group? 2. Dumbing down of skills and guns. I liked looking for that god roll on a shotgun. It gave me a reason to continue playing in between content. I enjoyed getting new guns and testing out the different perks each had to see what fit my playstyle. Mix those perks with a enhanced skill tree and i had a hell of a lot more variability in my playstyle than i do now. 3. Constant lying. I shouldnt have to go into detail for this. 4. Impossible raid. I took the time to learn it and my group was able to pass it. Attempted the prestige mode once and the raid lair once as well because of this. If you knew the raid, it was easily completed. But our group started usually will drag a noobt through if someone was missing. This raid almost turned me into an elitist because it would take hours to get them to not cause a wipe. 4. Still no dedicated servers for trials. 5. Removing connection status in pvp mode. I want to know who is lagging so i can report. If you get enough reports you should investigate. 6. 1 time use shader system.

7 RepliesEdited by Cozyman Cam: 1/23/2018 1:26:14 AMThe realisation that Destiny is, and likely always will be, a PvP shooter with PvE modes, which contradicts the marketing campaign heavily suggesting Destiny to be a FPS MORPG with PvP modes. In hindsight, it seems Bungie never intended to deliver anything beyond a generic PvP shooter experience.

I just logged in to pledge factions so that I can buy the FWC AR...if this game survives, I'll give it another go in year 3...

Haven’t played in a month. CoO was worse than anticipated and other games grabbed my attention. A lot of my friends quit playing as well.

Throttling the Lost sectors, and every ounce of BS that came with this last faction rally. After all the crap we’ve taken since September, I just couldn’t take it anymore and haven’t played since. Players are screaming for good grinding mechanics and one thing we actually have that’s fine gets lock outs. This was the straw that broke the camels back. Not to mention, being that this was such a stupid move and completely baffling, it’s just a theory but I truly believe they’re trying to destroy this game for whatever reason. A move like that makes absolutely no sense and literally tells the Fanbase they aren’t listening. I’ve tried to sign back on and thought about it and I always come to saying in my head “what for, what exactly am I going to play this game for now“? It sad and infuriating Viper, And I know you know what I mean. Once again thank you for your posts

The finl straw for me was when they brang out the Prestige raid with pretty much no gear to go with it.. no guns... Plus that weeks Prestige NF was Exudos Black... it glitched out on me so i was so done with the game at that point.. took around 2 months off came back 2-3 weeks ago and am loving it.. Still not impressed with EoW and the ugly ass armour.. and 2 guns...

I quit playing Destiny 1 because rng drops combined with rng perks preventing me from getting better guns isn't fun. As for Destiny 2, after 20 hours of playing it I realized that there was nothing new or interesting to do. Even playing once a week is boring, and combined with a complete lack of any progression both mechanically and loot-wise, there is very little reason to turn it on anymore. Of course, neither were the mmo-fps-rpg I covet. I want that mmo-fps-rpg so bad tho :(

Sheer boredom. I turned it on one Saturday arvo...and I started to nod off while still in the tower. Thank god for PUBG. First Chicken Dinner last week was better than 100 Gally's dropping all at once. There is NOTHING to provide that level of excitement and joy left in the Destiny franchise.

Bungie made me stop... Lack of any real tangible effort. Seems they hate us, or are looking for a way out of ActiBITCH's contract by lack of any real interest in creating content, and or helping the players.

Hell, the live team puts all of the rest of them to shame. They should have been the ones creating D2. 10+ years people that Bungie has been working on this game with 3 years of the game being out and only Bungie created D1. A couple of weeks ago that Bungie guy tweeted all that shit about fixing D2, he said stuff about making eververse less of a staple and making EV items earnable items, and said the last thing they want is to make D2 pay to win. Not exact quotes. After seeing that I was hyped about the future of D2. ...Then last Wednesday I booted up D2 to check out faction stuff. I had a eververse engram I didn't bother to turn in from the last time I played. When I was turning it in I noticed a new exotic ghost shell for sell. ...what was the perk? INCREASE FACTION TOKEN DROPS!!! I raged hard. Later I checked some youtube vids to see if there were any faction rally weapons worth grinding for and found out Bungie just said -blam!- you to us and decided not to make ANY of the new weapons available. That was it. Bungie are some lieing, lazy, stupid af, trifling motherfucrs
