We are Frustrated because we LOVE Destiny.

We LOVE destiny. There is no skipping around that fact. We are a passionate playerbase that only wants the best for this game and for bungie as a company. Destiny 1 opened doors that i never even knew existed in a video game genre...but Destiny 2 slammed many of those doors shut again. Destiny has so much potential, its a mile wide but only an inch deep. We aren't angry with any of the developers personally, we are just frustrated because we know Destiny 2 could be so much more than what it is currently. Just know Bungie that all of this noise coming in your direction comes from our desire to delve deep into your game...you just have to let us. Work with us and the game will build itself. Edit: The angry comments really are concerning. I'm shocked how quickly this community is turning on itself.

  • Guardians whilst I am not ever going to play D2 anytime soon I hope it gets better. With that said bungie lacks the one thing we want out of them Communication They do it every dlc they talk about things we could care less about but they go silent when we ask for changes that are huge. With that said I have quit playing a month back I don’t care to even play anymore I log in once a week if I feel like it to check if anything is worth doing but each time I just log off and go play other games Wanna know why? Because those other games are fun

3 years of collecting data and response’s from community during Destiny 1.... They decide to implement a new weapon system (2 primary, 1 power) without much testing or feedback. They tweaked special ammo so much...couldn’t figure how to balance it, so they just added it to heavy lol. Like what? If primary n special weapons both are good n feel powerful that’s all you need. Problem was...primary weapons were nerfed to shreds over 3 years. Now we have 7 different weapons in power ammo n barely get to use them. On top of that, with weaker primary weapons n all the nerfs, power weapons will wreck weak primary weapons with ease, which makes it pretty boring. They got rid of random perks. Problem was so many useless n underwhelming perks. Random perks gave slight advantages in certain situations. They gave weapons a unique feel n huge replayability. They nerf everything TTK, Super recharge rate, Grenade n Melee recharge and damage, recovery, speed n maneuverability, skill tree options, and make it only 4v4. Didn’t the devs know we screamed n screamed we are sick n tired of nerf after nerf after nerf. Point is...Destiny scrapped so many things to try something new. Going against the community or without enough testing or feedback. And why do we have so many less choices to pvp? And no private matches? Why are we going backwards?

Loved? Eh, more like the "love" you have with that girl friend that's always DTF and that's as far as you both want it to go.

  • Idk if people love this game. I loved halo 3 but I didn’t sit there and complain about every single problem with that game. And there was many issues with that game including the hit detection of projectile. People say they love this game but in reality, they want the game to be in their vision. Everyone’s vision is completely different. They make changes and you still get pissed. Look at D1, that’s the prime example. The people who complain about the game, but say they love it are they same ones who got those Autos nerfed twice. Can’t please anyone anymore.
yes the game is boring. I know. Hence why I don’t play it anymore.
• I'll add a note of positivity, sure I've taken my fair share of pot shots at Destiny 2 and the developers. I do not discredit the massive amount of work or passion inside the game. It just lacks any substance of any creativity. It is shallow and unrewarding. I can grind a game as a time sink and let's face it, that's what games are but there is also a sense of progress that a player needs to have players working towards an end goal. Tokens? What is this chuck-e cheese? I can saunter up to the redemption center and get a stuffed animal if I get a few more tokens? That's not fun neither is a stuffed animal. Grind for greatness grind toward a goal. It will kill time, give an objective to work towards and the reward will be worth the effort. To just get underwhelming items that do not impact gameplay is bland and boring. I used to laugh at people for the gjallarhorn reaction videos. I remember the first time I entered vault of glass and received this weapon I was elated and immediately went to upgrade this as soon as possible. Same with fatebringer, the vex mythoclast, and found verdict ect. It made me feel accomplished and gave me a sense great power. Destiny 2 my 5th origin story auto rifle which I received as a campaign weapon is a drop for the nightfall is very under whelming and boring. It's not powerful it's not rare, it's not unique. Destiny 2 is cut and dry. One size fits all. Bland to say the least. No point in doing the raid. My weapons will be the same thing as anything I've received in the campaign. Never even finished the raid. No need to do so. Don't care what my gun looks like I care what it does. I've been called out on why are you here then, well the answer is simple and falls in line with what you are saying. I like destiny I like the lore and the series as a whole. What I do not like is Destiny 2's design. I am here because I hope it gets better, I want to see if any progress has been made in the right direction and the only way I know this is by checking in because my destiny 2 disc hasn't seen the disk tray in my console since week 3. There's no need to play but I hope they turn it around. So I can feel what you are saying. We want it to be good, I don't want to see Destiny 2 fail. Secretly I am kind of glad Bungie tool the beating they have been getting. Not because the mindset of vengeance. It's in the mindset of you need to take action, it's unfortunate it had to come to this. I hope we see some meaningful changes because I would love to jump into curse of Osiris because the theme of it seems like an epic part of the story. Why underscore it with bad game design?

      • The problem isn’t that we aren’t passionate about Destiny, the problem is, they aren’t, and you could feel it throughout D2. Could you not? Will that change? I am not convinced at this point, but I will watch and see what happens from time to time; as Destiny WAS a unique genre until they tried to morph it into a generic shooter.

          • Wrong we DID love it, it was the game where many of us met new friends and stayed up well into the early morning hours playing Destiny 1's great raids. Sadly Destiny 2 is a mere shadow of its former self, they took a winning formula and totally screwed it up. Tokens keys weapon design and it's totally lacklustre extended strike called Leviathan have just added to that failure. If there is a Destiny 3 I would bet my last pound they revert to a Destiny 1 formula again because this travesty called Destiny 2 is a complete failure, dam even Halo reach in 2010 managed big team battle with multiple vehicles and space flight battles, all we get is four man teams due to underfunded 💩 servers and crappy game code, wake up Bungie was that your company's death knell I just heard.

            • We love Destiny but Bungie love money. Maybe if we all pool together 500 million dollars and just hand it to Bungie they may consider our words with more thoughts, right now they're looking at charts and graphs because that is where all their decision will come from. The community is turning on itself for the worse because of the unsatisfactory service provided by Bungie given that they got 3+ years of improvement as well as our money and it all just gone, then they charge 60 more dollar for access to their new service and even more for DLCs. Warframe old forum when the game first launch is pretty much like Bungie forum at this point in time, devs and the game (even though it was free-to-play) was getting some rather negative feedback but Digital Extremes survive and the game and devs become better as they got more experience. Can we say the same for Bungie and Destiny?

            • Pull the game. Reboot D1. Restart trials and iron banner. Live event and I guarantee the numbers will flood back. Either that or take all of D1 and put it under the D2 skin.

            • There is a solution for Bungie: stop devs working for D2. Create a new DLC in D1 that brings someone from the future using Vex tech from the end of Curse of Osiris and make us to go fight the red legion in other planets or even when they were heading earth before they attack us! This way you fix everything and still is adherent to the story told so far....! I'd love to use my Hung Jury on their heads!

                • They didn't close any doors shut. The game has a great concept with good mechanics... IT JUST LACKS REAL CONTENT. THAT'S BASICALLY IT! It ALSO LACKS A DEV TEAM THAT ACTUALLY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT ITS OWN PRODUCT. The way they used to talk about Destiny before it even came out is what made me excited. They seemed so excited about making an EXPERIENCE for players and WORLDS to explore. It had me so pumped and ready to play. Destiny was a great experience because it was all new and fresh ideas brought to life. That's why we could get by without having any story, and for a while no content. Destiny 2 was suppose to be a step up but instead it was a step down WITH EVEN LESS CONTENT!!! Wtf is wrong with these devs? Are they on crack or do they just lack in the creative department? This game has so much potential to be amazing but it just keeps falling short. For what reason? Greed? -blam!- Greed, Push out a great game and your fans AND employees will love what they create. That's all I got.

                • Nope, fire Luke Smith, and make him a lesson for all of bungie. Don't shit on the players. You cancel the stream because of US. The Devs no longer get to just "make the game how they want". We control it in the end, today proves it. Luke Smith is a cancer, and he needs to be removed.
