Simply put as the title states. A simple request for bungie developers, customer support/service, cozmo, DeeJ, or who ever else witnesses these forum posts to provide some actual proof that the company is actually listening to the community’s concerns.
This is in no way a toxic approach or degrading rant about the Destiny 2 product. It is simply asking how do you plan to OR if you intend on fixing any of the many mentioned issues in the game stemming from the token based loot reward system, lack of unique stat rolls in weapons and gear, 4 v 4 pvp for every single game mode, raid specific loot being of cosmetic value only etc etc. Those are a few I seem to see mentioned a lot on the forums.
I’m just more interested in an actual catered response directed towards your consumers in an environment where the majority of users come for feedback and real time updates. If you have no fix actions and the game is exactly the way you intended it to be, then say that. It will be much more appreciated than any volume of silence. At least it will be honest and directed from you, the creator, and remove all speculation from your player base. Again, just looking for someone inside the company to speak out and at least let us know you are listening without a generic “we see you, and are working on it” kind of response.
Side note: Thanks again for all you have done and continue to do. Satisfying everyone at once is a difficult and unrealistic expectation. While the game may not be what many of us have expected it to be it has its strong points as well so thank you for that as well.
Sincerely,
A destiny player from D1
Edit: man I never thought so many people would actually respond and keep this conversation alive and going. Thank you to all of you who have taken the time out to push this up as high as it has gone. Hopefully we all see something whether positive or negative. The non generic response from bungie is all that matters.
Edit 2: so COZMO replies by means of copy and paste from TWAB and quoted “needed time to gather a response”. 😂😂😂 point taken. Now I’ll keep pushing for a reply that isn’t of such “thought” where you can’t say what you feel, rather you point me to a post that I already read. Who’s with me ??? Make bungie talk !!!!

We’re listening - to the ka-ching of your checks being cashed. To everything else, we’re deaf.

10 RepliesI need answers on the real elephant in the room. Why the -blam!- hasn't Devrim Kay fired a single shot yet? He's been peeping out that window like a sweaty Meth head for six weeks... There's all kinds of shit going on outside that window and all he wants to do is ruin peoples dreams with the shittiest loot table ever

278 RepliesI wanted to get a good response put together before replying. Here you go, straight from Game director Christopher Barrett
Hey, everyone. We’ve been playing the game in the wild for seven weeks, and like the Destiny experiences that have come before, we’re always thinking about where the game is heading next. We’re still planning when a bunch of the improvements listed below are going to make their way into the game, but we wanted to let you know what we’re up to. Here’s a short list of updates we’re working on: • New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits. • Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities. • Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors. • Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018). • Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules. • Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games). • Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards. • Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful. • Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication. • New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you, Legendary Shards). • An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time. There’s more we’re working on. We’ll talk again soon. —Barrett
1 ReplyEdited by tiddy inspector: 11/1/2017 6:00:01 AMWhile the list that Cozmo posted addresses a lot of the major complaints I've had, the biggest issue I've come across is with Bungie's decision to nerf the Powerful Rewards from Weeklies on consecutive characters of the same class, as described here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/232179521?sort=0&page=0&path=1 Even more upsetting is that there was no warning of this; many people, fooled by the unchanging description of the rewards, spent hours leveling alt characters to try to help progress their mains, mostly because they felt there wasn't enough content/options available to do so without resorting to this (very unfun) method. My friends and I all feel the same way: We're only interested in playing 1-2 classes (while having one main class) and would like to be able to progress further after finishing the weekly/daily content (which takes no time at all) but here we are, stuck with nothing to do. We ENJOY progression and Bungie's decision has taken that away from us. Once again, people were playing the game in a way Bungie disagreed with, so now we get punished and we're forced to either have 1 character and play a few hours a week or...what? What alternative is there for players like us? They (understandably) nerfed the rewards (even though they should've been more open about it) but offered no alternative solution for us who are willing to sink a lot of time into the game but wish to feel rewarded for doing so. :( I remain hopeful, but enormously discouraged by this decision. I was looking forward to spending all hours into the night with my buds and now we're just sitting here twiddling our thumbs feeling quite put out... -Stacey So long as I'm sharing my thoughts, I'd like to request a few things (these may or may not already be considerations but just in case...) : - Some sort of firing range in the Tower and/or Farm to test out the feel of different weapons. - An easier way to communicate with and group up with other players - A way to see Challenge progress without queueing into the activity. (i.e.; Crucible, Strike, etc..)

The devs don’t give a shit. Sorry :/

111 RepliesEdited by StrainedDig4: 10/25/2017 8:46:20 PMThey designed Destiny as a game with very unique gear, abilities and weapons. Then, systematically reduced/removed/weakened all due to data based on utilization. One would think those data would suggest great from mediocre, and be used to strengthen the weak, but no, instead was used to punish the strong. Complaints were made, but most were simply the ‘it killed me, nothing should kill me so it must be OP, nerf it’ type of ‘ you shouldn’t be playing a Shooter if you dislike being shot’ expected response. Instead, Bungie chose the ‘ok, it is OP, we will nerf the entire category, Hunters, and jumping to fix it’ type of stupidity. Net result: Destiny 2, where everything has been balanced, including the fun. Now, the Killer Elites have exactly what they cried for, and are still upset because: the Shooter needs a team to kill one player, supers take a weak (not a typo, they are weak) to build, and, Hunters still need something nerfd. This community asked for weak weapons, weak supers, weak gear, weak grind, weak reason to play and a dull/boring/meaningless weak game: and got exactly that. Game is crap, you asked for that and got it. Stop pretending you wanted more power, you bitched a shotgun that kills a 900 pound Bear can kill you, but have no problem when a punch can wipe a team! You complained that a Sniper that can hole a Tank can OHK you, but a knife can wipe you with a single swipe! You complained that a player lobbing Suns burned too long, but a guy can punch the ground and kill three! TLDR: this dull, boring, meaningless, balanced crap game is exactly what you begged for the first time one of you bitched “it killed me, it must be OP, I’m too great a Killer Elite to be killed by anyone unless their (insert what you like here) was a God Roll, nerf it”! Eat your oatmeal, STFU and like it... I despise this game now, but, I never asked for or condoned a single nerf. Saw this coming and bought it anyway, gave it a chance. Now I know, it ends here. No second chances, no do overs, no chance to ‘fix’ anything. They lost me the moment they became untrue to their advertised product: Destiny is a war. At least it started that way! No idea what this is now, but, I know no war fought with weakness. And worse, fought by combatants that complain about being shot by guns in a Shooter! I realize my post is long, winded and harsh, but, I had to finally say it: don’t like being beat by a better player, get better yourself. It wasn’t their superior gear, it was your inferior strategy. In the past thousand years, a tiny poorly equipped army has never been defeated on Earth: they learned strategy for they lack military superiority. The US military took them on and lost. Why, their enemy never complained, never bitched, never cried ‘no fair’. They simply used everything at their disposal to beat the technological superior USA, they used strategy! They used their minds, the most ‘OP’ weapon on any battle field! Destiny should have remained hard, difficult, unfair and a grind. You should be rewarded for effort. You should have those “OP” things remain as such. You should look into your Vault and remember those hours spent to get that ‘God roll’ and none of that should have made you win, only your strategy... Now, we have this product. I’m 300 and only played Public Events! That itself is why you should not bother with this game. It is a Welfare State, an Entitlement Personified. A meaningless game, so much like so many others available to play. It has Become Legend! No response from Bungie: you already have their response, it’s called Destiny 2... EDIT: created a new post on this topic: Destiny 2 IMO

20 RepliesEdited by Calculus-Entropy: 10/25/2017 10:57:41 PMThe more I read this forum the more pissed off I get. There is a bunch of anger, as well as a fair amount of entitlement, but above all there is truth behind 99% of the posts. They have us here throwing our money at a game that we loved with the trust that it would be something just as special as D1 (and hopefully more). Why didn't I walk away when they couldn't even do 60fps? Or when they tried again to pass off some bullshit p2p "hybrid" system without dedicated servers (pvp has such a huge fan base in this game and they can't provide freaking servers, especially given the nightmare we experienced in the year(s) of D1)? Or when I knew better that a game developer who once mentioned that in their ideal matchmaking experience all players should average 1.0? Digital Extremes puts out a game for $0.00 and it has so much detail in its' character model that it's one step away from looking 3D on a 2 dimensional display. There's so much shit to do that I don't even know where to go. There's matchmaking whenever I want it and no matchmaking when I don't. There's so much depth, detail, and modifiable potential in one single weapon that I could use a phd in weaponry to max it out, or just pull the trigger as a "casual" and smile. My clan can have its own building we can chill in, dual, run an obstacle course, sit on a rock and ponder life inside my own room with an indoor pond, and plan what else we want to build. Sorry- I'm having a moment of clarity here... I'm the one tossing my $$$ at this "promise" of a good game. I'm the one that's so confident that I own the next 2 DLC's before I even know what they are. I'm the one that had issues with Destiny that weren't addressed in 3yrs of D1, knew they weren't fixed in D2, and still bought it. I was the one that chose to hand over my money willingly and decided to gamble on things that I assumed would already be a problem. I'm the asshole here and I have myself to blame. I now understand completely :-)
lol... sorry for what sounded like another rant. Just having fun, doing a little thinking out loud, and serious that myself and many people like me help perpetuate mediocrity by letting our hopes and expectations lead us further than it probably should. I honestly wish Activision wasn't in the mix. Bungie had better ideas and direction on their own. They're sitting there with the ability to create and give us what we want in their own time schedule, but are forced into providing only what their overseer wants. Lol
