There is a difference between considering someone elses opinion and parroting someone elses opinion. I love considering and reading the thoughts and opinions of other people, because it allows me to view subjects from a different perspective.

Humans are wired this way. We seek out like-minded individuals because we can form associations with their views and our own. That doesn’t mean we are “parroting” opinions and views we don’t share. That’s just a very sad, pathetic, attempt to disregard another person’s view.

If I am having a discussion with someone, and they choose to disregard their own opinion, then I am also going to disregard their opinion. If they don't consider it to be valuable enough to share, then why should anyone else care to consider it?
