Upvote if Destiny 2 should have been DLC
Honestly I think Destiny 2 would have made a pretty good dlc instead of a whole game. This unpolished game could have been more fun if it was a add on as the final raid of destiny 1 so that all the enemies had their own raid. Anyone feel the same?

4 RepliesIt basically is Cabal DLC: The Token King. I cannot understand why they made it a sequel. It is clearly the exact same engine underneath as D1. I would have been fine if as a D1 DLC, it cost $60.

Honestly, everyone was SOOOOOO worried about Destiny 2 being just a $60 expansion to Destiny. The whole time they were complaining I kept thinking "That sounds like a good idea to me!" The improvements to Public Events, the addition of Lost Sectors, and the new campaign missions would have been AWESOME if they just added it to Destiny 1. What I wanted out of Destiny 2 was a continuation the game with a new story and features. Instead, we got a different type game with a new story that makes the occasional comment about Destiny's story. Destiny was a multiplayer aRPG shooter. Destiny 2 is just a multiplayer shooter, there's hardtly any aRPG elements left.

It probably was supposed to be dlc, but Bungie decided to make it a full game as an excuse to make more money.

It would have. Been a fine DLC... I think a little smaller than the Taken King if they put the boards on the planets instead of the reskin. Would have happily payed the same price for the DLC... k owing what I know now... would have payed double for it to be a DLC just so they didn't ruin the game.

Maybe not DLC, but a solid 30-40$ game. Endgame is like D1, where it certainly doesn't justify the 60$ price tag. Launch D1 was like 20$ max.

i completely agree to this.. i would of rather they kept everything the same and just made a new map section with idk a portal to go through to reach it that takes you to destiny 2 instead of having it the way it is now.. this way you can have the new light level and go back through the portal to D1 and have people are 305 with an astrick next to it or something to resemble D2 in D1 tower..

I spent 1000s of hours in D1 and thought I'd spend 1000s more playing D2 and I wanted to enjoy D2 the same way I enjoyed D1 but I can't. Because destiny right now isn't the game I fell in love with

I would have been happy with 10 years of updates to destiny 1, still think that game has a load of unexplored potential. Plus titan skating was fun.

2 RepliesD2 needs an overhaul, It's not a horrible game but the changes made make zero sense. Why they didn't make a deeper D1 with more lore and story? So much about D2 feels shit compared to D1, the weapons, armor, strikes... Everything feels better on D1.

Yeah it should’ve. Right after rise of iron bc try NEVER did any cabal type of dlc n we were all waiting on one. I don’t think D2 should’ve been ALL CABAL focused. It should’ve been focused on ALL species but MOSTLY A NEW SPECIES!! Instead they decided to piss ppl off n bring back taken even tho we killed the ttk (oryx)
