Totally agree with you bruh, most players don't even realize that they would have to wear about 3 exotic pieces of armor just to get the perks that were available in destiny 1's skill tree.

They used some of the old weapons and armor? Woah! It's almost like its a sequel to a game, set in the same universe, around the same time period, with the same technologies as said prequel.. They even used some of the same characters! What the hell, Bungie? This is supposed to be a new game!

It also had Planetary materials you spent half your life FARMING for to upgrade the weapons . You had to FARM for weapons that could have shitty rolls on them When you did spend time FARMING to find a good weapon with a good roll you then had to ..... FARM more to get kills to upgrade the nodes that allowed you to use to materials that you FARMED for to now make the gun usable !! That is taking into account that you had to shoot in to a cave to FARM in the hope you would get a slim slim slim CHANCE at a legendary engram (because legendary engrams where like gold dust) that again could decrypt into the following 1) materials 2) blue gear 3) weapon or armour for another class that u don’t have 4) a weapon that you would never use 5) weapon you want 6) armour you want Also it had All but 5 exotics that where 100 percent rng !! All with low CHANCE of dropping from activities like crucible strikes raid chests and so on !! So better get FARMING The exotics That did have quest where again rng based so if you want them better get FARMING daily missions to get the drop !! Now you have the quest for one of the random exotics that you may or may not have wanted as you have no way to guarantee the choice of 3 you got would be the one you wanted or one you already had , it’s time to get out there and FARM kills , strikes , nightfall’s , crucible matches or whatever convoluted steps the quest told you to do just to get the actual gun in hand .. now you have it !!! guess what you have to do to upgrade the gun to a usable state ??? Yup it’s time to FARM kills to upgrade nodes and planetary materials . Oh also you’re gonna need ascendant materials !! But that’s easy just buy a weapon or armour with your vanguard or crucible marks and break it down ....that is once you FARM strikes and crucible matches that is to get them !! Now you did that and you have 100 of each Mark just buy the gear you need !! Oh wait the cheapest item is 40 marks for armour and 150 for weapons !!! Oh well you can always farm next week again and save up !! But not too much as there is a cap of 200 marks !! Want a high-ish chance at an exotic ?? Easy !! Go to your computer or phone and load up destiny lfg website !! Now sign up for an account !! Done that ? Good .. ok go to the looking for game tab .... now look for people that are looking for others to do the nightfall ... found someone ?? Zero character personalisation other than shaders that did not change the Color of more than half the exotic gear and none of the exotic weapons . In fact none of the weapons period !!! Oh also class items .... nearly all class items could not be changed !! See a shader you like ?? Nice !! Just go to the shader vendor and buy it for glimmer !! You have glimmer right ? No? Oh you spent all your glimmer on ammo synths ..... cool glimmer is easy to get all you have to do is ..... go to orbit then go to a planet then kill enemies . They all drop a small amount of glimmer so just FARM them !! But be careful in about 2 hours you’ll probably have 25k and that’s the max !! Ok now you have the glimmer go see the vendor and buy the shader !! She only has 5 shaders huh and none of them is one you saw on a guardian earlier ?? That’s ok just go to YouTube and search up where that shader drops ... easy !! Amazing it’s the chryptarch that randomly has a CHANCE to drop that !! What you waiting for get FARMING that chryptarch rank !! There’s a CHANCE he will maybe drop it !! Or not but you get unlimited CHANCES to FARM for that low low chance !! See a shader you CAN buy ? Try it on before you buy it so see how cool you look !! No !! Can’t do that !!! It’s ok there is a website out there that you can use to do this !! Slick huh !! In order to be max light you had to wear vog gear !! No exceptions !! You either wear the exact same gear as everyone else or drop your level . Oh and for all you solo players that don’t enjoy the group stuff well tough !! You literally have zero chance to hit max light unless you change your play style and join others in the raid so you can spend a few hours to get the CHANCE to maybe get some gear that will help your light level improve .... But it’ll be worth it when you get that sweet raid gear . Ok back to lfg let’s get a six man in here ... dude you are crushing it !! Only issue I have with D2 is there isn’t anything worth grinding for imo... like come on D1 had ghally farebringer VOC vex mytho... exotic swords exotic bounties!! I miss doing raids over and over trying to get the chest and see a ghally drop or even my team mates getting it.. now we have what exactly some cosmetics tokens same roll weapons :( feelssadman

Comparing d1 at the end of its life to the start of d2 doesnt work u have to compare the base game where d2 mas a lot more then d1 base yes d2 is lacking on endgame snd not as grindy but u have to look the most of the community are casual gamers and as more expansions glcome bungie eill give more grinding content
