BUNGIE HAD 3 YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT AND....
DESTINY had 3 years of development, and what's hard to comprehend is how BUNGIE has taken a ridiculous amount of content and features away in D2 which does NOT make sense.
D1 was Bungies training course. D2 was supposed to be everything they have learned and then some. The strikes are not any better and other content is really not above par from D1.
Don't get me wrong I love the game and I invest a good amount of time with it, but entirely too much was taken away, and the mistakes that we see already in D2 should have been learned from in D1. How the F could BUNGIE royally F up the meta in the Crucible??? After 3 years of tedious weapon balance and they F it up first time around with MIDA at every corner. Test players??? Beta???
Rant is over. I am more grateful than bitter over D2 , but some things that were left out just don't make sense to me.
PS. I DELETED MY MIDA after a few days of using it. I didn't want to feel LIMITED by one gun that I had already used a lot in D1. In my humble opinion IT IS A CRUTCH for me and the vast majority that use it. They are comfortable with it and they haven't given other weapons a chance in D2.
I think it was a stupid move to bring back weapons and armor from D1 but they did. D2 was a clean slate but it wasn't taken advantage of. If all else they could have reskinned the MIDA and called it something else Don't think there would be so much negativity if that was the case.
Edit: been using SEVEN SIX FIVE SCOUT RIFLE w much success countering the mighty MIDA.

I'd say expect old exotics to return each expansion. They are part of the lore of this game and it would be dumb for them not to bring them back. As long as they have a good mix of new and old (more new ones though) then I won't be to upset seeing old ones return. Strike scoring will most likely return, same with 6v6 and rumble, after they adjust things to make them better. Private matchs will most likely be here by the end of the year. Overall bungie did a great job with this game even though some features feel very barebone and basic but just like destiny 1 I'm sure destiny 2 will continue to evolve over time and get even better

1 ReplyVigilance wing counters the MIDA at medium range almost every time. Long range the MIDA will win so play better and force the medium to close range contact. I don’t understand why people don’t understand that. You don’t to go down the normal corridors everyone else does on maps, Force the situation you want, the one that will work out best for you. Quit asking for a nerf! Y’all mother f*ckers were the problem with destiny 1. Learn to play better. Hell the Nameless Midnight can go head to head with the MIDA if you have even the tiniest bit of skill. Stop asking for guns to get nerfed, if anything as for different guns to be buffed! Or better yet, get better at the freaking game and stfu.

1 ReplyI would say that it was a pricy DLC. The loot system is my biggest complaint. It's like leveling was taken away from us because the loot was nurfed so hard. I've done the raid a couple times now and afterword I feel completely gyped. Nothing feels like a must have weapon or armor. Where is the incentive to play? In Destiny 1, I was entertained for months at first. D2 has me bored after 2 weeks. SMH Bungie.

I grinded way too long on my first lock then realized I could leapfrog light off a second. 4 hours and a token later I had a second lvl20 lock to swap gear and dailies with. I have them both 280-296 and doing endgame quest is where it's at I'm about to make lock #3 . Only gripe is soloing heroic events and no matchmaker for nightfall, keep tickets or whatever to limit play. It will get better.

The pve loot, time lock, shenanigans are utter bollox to be honest ! When they handicap collecting planetary materials then things are really taking a slide.

For real. Super fun game, just not very impressive. Expectations were high for D1 vets. Strikes are cool but few, not even new puzzle mechanics or anything. Just open door, kill some adds, kill yellow bar, open door, kill boss, etc.

Probably more complaining with no recommendations on how to make the game better in your own words/opinions. Your "time invested" should be spent having fun. If this game isn't fun for you, maybe it's not for you. Find something else. People who treat this game like a job and feel the need to put time into it, are the ones that seem to complain the most. When do I fire up D2? When I feel like playing it because I find it fun.

I didn't get it, but as an interested observer I would like to add to the list. The armor (particularly the legendary armor) looks generic and bland. Some of the exotic is pretty cool, but none of the legendary armor I am seeing comes even close to matching the cool factor that some of the Destiny had. Also, the app may be new but it is definitely not improved. It's indicative of the overall step backwards that D2 took.
