Now it is happening again. Peoples are calling for nerf because they can't win in Trials. I'm not a Trials player but absolutely don't want to see guns nerfed . I really don't want to see a Destiny 2 in the same state as D1. Please don't do it, Bungie.

5 RepliesEdited by allison.: 9/19/2017 3:59:14 PMIt's definitely because people don't know what the word adapt means. They don't try anything to counter the MIDA and then get pissed off when they lose gunfights at long range to the thing. I was using my Prosecutor I got from a free trials engram (thanks clans) and rekt shit up Yes MIDA is strong at what it does, if you lose to it long range, blame yourself. If you lose to it close range, blame yourSELF. People start to associate skill with weapons when in reality it's just the player. Sure, some guns preform better than others but it's not hard to counter them most of them time (team shotting excluded)

I got seven wins and almost went flawless last weekend cause me and my team all used mida too bad we lost one match though.
-
Team fire will stop any team, am just saying.

2 Replies(Not saying that i'm good or bragging, just sharing my experience and thoughts) I can't believe anyone is complaining about Mida. I went flawless yesterday first try without a single close match and nobody on my team was using Mida. Yet every match we got, there was always at least one person on the enemy team (most cases the whole team) using Mida and Uriels Gift/Prosecutor. FFS Mida is absolutely not an automatic win switch, we're not looking at Vex Mythoclast 2.0 here. Hell, since most of these people are only able to hit bodyshots, given that they're using the gun as to hop on the bandwagon, we were able to easily challenge them with legendary scouts and pulses. IDK, I feel like the people complaining are either 1: not pushing their advantages AKA pushing up into the Mida users face or getting so far away that it's hard for them to hit you. 2: challenging right into Mida's effective zone and missing all of their headshots while not backing off if they're losing the engagement. 3: Trying to use Mida themselves and are getting outdone by other people using it.

3 RepliesReduce the overall health of each player in PvP - currently it's too high and it just promotes camping with your teammates in one corner of the map.

4 RepliesEdited by JTtheLoneWOOF: 9/19/2017 7:47:27 PMI DELETED my MIDA and infused the power to my NAMELESS MIDNIGHT SCOUT because I believe it's a crutch. I'm forcing myself to get better with other weapons because I don't want to feel limited with my load out. True story. I will not let one weapon dictate my game play. Period. 🤓 PS. THIS IS D2. Not D1, so I had my time with MIDA already. Its multi faceted perks is what makes it great, but I am bored with it now and also believe it's a little too good compared to other weapons in its category. In my humble opinion. MIDA IS A CRUTCH in D2.

3 RepliesPlayed Trials yesterday. Went flawless. Using Better Devils and bouncing around with secondaries like The End, Jiangshi, Tone Patrol. One teammate used Mida for half of the games, then stopped. A lot of enemies using Mida and such, but getting in close, working as a team, and lots of Arcbolt grenades (from me) gave us our wins. So, as annoying as Mida is, it's just a very balanced gun that fits into a lot of PvP encounters and situations.

Edited by GalvatronVTS: 9/19/2017 9:00:56 PMWhat people need to realize is it's going to happen. When a particular weapon is favored too much the Developers will re balance it to promote diversity. It happened after the Suros Banner and it happened to Thorn. If it wasn't overpowered, or stronger than everything else, it wouldn't be in wide spread use. That's what brings nerfs. If MIDA was something only a select few were using, people who were really good with that type of rifle, it probably would go untouched. Once upon a time in the previous game Auto Rifles outright destroyed everything else. What did they do? They reduced it's accuracy and damage to bring the other weapons up to it on a competing level. I don't know how widespread MIDA's use is but if everyone and their mother is using/abusing it ... expect changes. Case in point : Mythoclast. Once Bungie learned just how devastating it was in PVP they beat it into a pulp. That weapon was silly overpowered. I loved it's look though.

1 ReplyI don't think Mida will be nerfed this time around. 1. It is not OP...by any means 2. Weapons are normalized now, Mida has the same specs as other scouts just better perks. 3. Third eye is not the reason people win, it's team shooting. When you team shoot, you're predicting where the opponent is going to be... 4. Speed boost doesn't help you win either...unless somehow the boost made you impossible to hit...which it doesn't.
-
MIDA was the easiest top tier gun to obtain for the optimal situations on that map. Seems like everyone only recalls getting killed by MIDA, when Uriels Gift and Prosecutor are racking up probably an equal amount.
-
3 RepliesEverything feels so weak already so if they start nerfing things we will surely lose against the darkness
-
We need TLW, Thorn, Hawkmoon

2 RepliesMida isn't op, it's just all the other exotics are shit.

13 RepliesThe issue is that MIDA Multi Tool provides too many perks, aside from that of every other weapon. It provides "Third Eye" in which, anyone intelligent would understand that, awareness is part of the plan for victory. When you are staring down the sights of a Nameless Midnight, and have no idea in the middle of the gun fight that Jimmy-MIDA, is running at your from your flank, you are taken by surprise, and effectively get "Out Played". However, with a MIDA, this doesn't occur, you know who is coming, at all times. Next, MIDA has an inherited speed boost, with increased mobility. Strafing, running, walking and jumping are improved by simply having the weapon. In a gunfight, not only do you have awareness because of the gun, but you now also have speed. Damage wise, it is balanced, perk wise, it needs a debuff. My suggestion, remove Third Eye, and watch how poorly many of the "Git Gud" MIDA supporters crap their pants because they have no idea they are being flanked. Virtually, it is almost impossible to flank a MIDA player, and even more impossible to flank a good player using the MIDA. Third Eye is the problem, not the damage, not the speed buff, it is Third Eye.

I said this as a reply to another comment but I’ll throw it out here. The issue people are having is that TTK from team shots is exponential and uses an “unseeable” buff to score the damage based on proximity of teammates. A 1v1 does 1x TTK and goes to 2x, 4x, 16x TTK for 2v1, 3v1, and 4v1. In a 2v1 situation only one person has to do the damage and they get 2x the TTK. I’ve chased down many people in a 1v1 scenario only to have them hide near a teammate to recover and get destroyed from a hand cannon at 100m with 2 shots that weren’t both head shots. Even worse, getting hit with 2 rounds of an auto rifle and going from 100 to 0 health and seeing that one guy was shooting you while the other teammate was still hiding and recovering. Unfortunately it’s the meta and a poor design. If anything gets fixed first, it’ll be this. In D1 you had a much better chance of surviving a 5v1 situation than you do a 2v1 in D2.

The smart thing to do would be to balance PVP and PVE separately. Balancing separately would fix so many issues, that it's mind boggling that it's not done that way
-
1 ReplyEvery kind of weapon has its strong, weak and acceptable ranges when it comes to engagements. It just so happens that Mida has its sweet spot right where the maps and other players push you into, that high end of mid range. Get a little closer and any auto or HC will tear up mida. Closer than that? Smg and sidearm territory. It's not that you're playing the wrong game, you're just playing the wrong range. I like it up close, so auto and smg is what I normally bring.

Mida is weak as hell in PVE. Nerf would be really dumb

Edited by Ice: 9/19/2017 8:03:43 PMPeople need to git gud

2 RepliesI got that exotic pulse that by looking at it's perks was designed for trials. Might just be me but it's absolute garbage. Mida is the business always has been yet pretty useless up close. Don't just blame the gun tho. Any gun if 4 ppl are shooting you is gonna melt you.
-
7 RepliesIt isn’t Mida which is the problem, been using different scouts for trials and they all work fine. Why? Because the map has long sight lines. Mida would not been a problem if it was a smaller map. People then would be crying for an auto nerf. The thing is people just can’t adapt to the new playstyle and they blaming the game and not them for it.
-
Trials should just randomly pick map and all three guns used problem solved everybody has same guns can't complain. I don't care what is used just as long as the nerf war doesn't start again
-
1 ReplyOriginal Mida was the definition of balance. Then nerfs starting dropping left and right, which made it shine. Guns got weaker so players started playing more passively, and Mida does best there - then people began to hate the gun because it was so 'safe' - couple that with a few stickies and woof.... Having this gun in Destiny 2 makes players gravitate to a weapon that's both familiar and safe. But thanks to this, some experimentation might get put on the back burner. So with a lot of players (old and new) coming in and obtaining the gun so early it's going to promote a very slow and passive Crucible, which can make for an annoying experience, especially outside of Trials - Quickplay ain't so quick. The gun isn't OP though, it's just annoying, and seeing so many people using it just adds fuel to the hate. But I think in time that'll change once the newer weapons find their zone. I personally wish they left all the old stuff behind, from Supers to armor, and weapons. At least until the later DLCs.
-
2 RepliesPersonally I think that pvp weapon should be restricted to the Travellers Chosen (Damaged). That would sort the men from the boys
-
1 ReplyIf everyone is using the same weapon then the game is balanced. You can complain about the diversity, sure, but not the balance. No nerfs for the PVP cupcakes.
-
2 RepliesNo need to nerf. Just remove from trials. Nerfing ruins the weapon and the game. Just look at D1. Ice Breaker should never have been allowed in Trials. Some weapons don't belong in PVP, period.
