Forget all the bells and whistles and play on the platform your friends are on.

PC. As far as fps games go, consoles better pray that cross-platform play with pc never happens. The pinpoint accuracy you can achieve with mouse-and-keyboard is unmatched.

PS4. Imo The PC community will pick this game apart and get bored fast imo not to mention they also might hack the crap out of it.

Go Xbox ok

Edited by Salsicha, o espalha lixo: 8/16/2017 11:26:36 AMI could get it on PC too, but all my friends/clan members have shitty pcs and will stay on Ps4. So will I. 😀

3 RepliesBetter graphics and customisation on pc. Bigger community on ps4, exclusives on ps4. Your call bud Huge chance (imo) of it dying on pc. Just like Call of Duty. Thing with destiny, you need community, low playerbase affects everything. Bungie don't have great record on pc, they also don't have a great record of supplying content. Pc players will either break it with hax, or get bored. That would be my fear

13 RepliesThe problem with PC, to me, is that you will need to constantly keep upgrading your machine. One year from now you will start thinking that your machine is old because companies like Nvidia and AMD are constantly making new chipsets, new games requiring better requirements, etc. PC is better if you have the money for that. In a console you get a compromise between graphics, playability and price. Games are always optimised for the console so, unless you`re playing console side by side to PC, you wont miss the differences. Because i play to have fun, and just play, i don`t need all the asshell of playing PC. For the "pros" and the ones who love streaming, editing vids, etc, sure go PC. But if just want to have fun, relax after work and play with friends, consoles are the best option. But this is only my opinion.

1 ReplyI would never play destiny on a platform that my current friends couldn't play on. I have a VERY capable pc but to me starting over with new friends and a new clan sounds terrible.
-
2 RepliesI'd probably go PC if I had the motivation to build one.

2 RepliesIgnore the wherever your friends are unless you really want to play with them and can't convince them to switch with you. I moved from ps to pc and got 3 others to do it with me, and it's not hard at all to find new friends on a new system. The competitive part of the game will be almost entirely on the pc and the entire game will look and feel much better. The game will not reach it's full potential on a console.

Where your friends are. If you don't have a consistent friend group get on pc.

The one with friends on it

Where ever your friends are.

Don't preorder and just wait for the reviews in September. You'll then be happy you didn't waste money on a pile of crap.

Social situation is one factor. Destiny is a social game and is meant to be played with a group of people, preferably ones that you are familiar with. It would be more beneficial to stick with friends, as the experience won't be that drastically different on either platform. It will be the same story and what not. I wouldn't take the keyboard/mouse versus game-pad comparison into question because game-pads that are designed for use with computers are a dime a dozen, so there is no sense sticking with consoles just because you like the controller. On a technical perspective, the PC platform will win out 100% of the time due to uncapped frame-rate, possibly customisable frame-of-view options (Very important if playing on a desk monitor and not a far away television.), as well as more control over the experience with the option to disable graphical options that might cause irritating issues.

What I'm doing is starting on PS4 for the first year and then when they release a bundle with all the dlc then I'll get it on PC.

Me and my squad built PC's in anticipation of destiny 2. Now I'm addicted to PUBG. PC.

As others have said, the biggest thing for me would be where do you have the most friends to play with. Destiny and I assume Destiny 2 is best when played with friends, IMO.

Like most of the useful comments here I would say the number 1 priority should be where your friends are going to play it. I came late to Destiny on PS4 because I was hoping it would come out for pc. It felt like a perfect PC experience to me since the announcement. It never did, and I got it on Ps4 well into Year 2. I am glad I did and I got a group of friends around me that played the game pretty religiously for a while. Because that group is going to stay with the Ps4 that is where I am staying as well. I have friends that would be interested in playing it on PC, but I don't know if I can trust them to play it as a group to the same degree. Further more I am very worried about cheating. I made the mistake of buying The Division on PC. An experience that, by most accounts, is superior on console because of the extreme amounts of cheating on PC. To be fair there are plenty of steps being taken by Bungie to deal with this issue. Hosting the game on battle.net restricting third party programs and so forth. The question remains if it will be enough.

Pc will most likely have better resolution and frame rate. Ps4 will most likely have a bigger, more regular player base.
