Yes, there was people this time around to fill up queues faster, but in general how was the connection quality during the time in the beta?
What doesn't count is getting sent to orbit, or not being able to log in (these were going to happen in the beta)

Solid for the most part. There were a few laggy matches near the end there though, but I attribute that to the other player's connection.
-
The first couple of days were good. It was closer to the end of the beta where my bad connection started to work against me.
-
Well... it depends Nike. The lag felt far better in terms of teleporting, but compensation is a bit off. We all know your opponent is not where you see him when you check frame for frame. The connection has to go from shooter to host to opponent and back again. Each player is in three different places at once. I killed others while they were behind walls and they did the same to me. This caused some rare frustrating deaths and is exactly the same (if not worse) than D1. I once killed an opponent so far behind a wall my teammate was able to see the entire thing. Ping: 9ms Down: ~600mbps Up: ~700mbps

22 RepliesMany players played PvP at a time in only two game modes and 4v4 only, PvE was not even existent. Of course the connections seem better than in D1. This will change once the playerbase shrinks, more gamemodes in PvP and PvE are availiable. And yet there were still MANY MANY trades and visible lags in the Beta. The problem is: - Still no Dedicated Servers - Still the same Netcode - Still the same slow Tickrate - Still Pings above 500ms allowed It will never change as long as they don't upgrade their 90's backbone.

I feel like the people who voted for the two most negative are most likely the ones who run on toasters

2 RepliesEdited by chickengoujohn93: 7/30/2017 9:40:16 AMDidn't notice anything. My area went live for fiber and we had it installed in our home just before the beta went live. Jumped from 5Mbps on a copper line to 1000Mbps. And yes that is a four digit internet speed.

3 RepliesPeople in the last 2 options were the people who had a bad personal connection, and are responsible for the occasional lag issues that everyone else had. To these people, stop using Russet potatoes. Use sweet potatoes instead. #TitanMasterRace

I never had one issue.... I have 1gig fiber, with a stable low of 495mb download. I complain everytime I drop out of game, as it should never happen with overkill connection. Hardly overkill if it's lost so oftern. I did not lose connection or experience lag once during the beta.

Great for me. ~ Alien Cookies

I had a few matches with a bad lagger, but nothing worse than the occasional lagging game that I get in Titanfall 2. Overall, much better connectivity than D1.
-
It felt good, but there were a few hiccups. (On error coding, I got booted after almost every activity. But that's not really connection quality, it's just beta problems.) During the first two days in crucible, I had no lag that I noticed from anyone. On the third day, one teleporting shotgunner really screwed me up, and my melee didn't connect on a hunter who vanished (no, didn't dodge, just disappeared.) The day after that, there was one more such incident where a person teleported out of my dawnblade projectile that was about to hit them, but that was all that happened on the fourth day. After that incident, I didn't notice any more lag issues.
Just to clarify, these are my Honest experiences. I'm not just hopping on the bandwagon and saying "oh, it was good until SBMM kicked in and then everyone teleported."
-
The connection quality at my end felt great during the whole Beta, so much so I was convinced it was a CBMM dedicated system (that and the skill level of players seemed to vary dramatically) I only encountered 1 bug - For one game, neither team could see the opposition or the control points for the first 30 seconds of the game... which descended into mayhem when everyone (and the control points) suddenly became visible at 'B'.
-
Id say great - sometimes felt that bullets wernt connecting but that could be coding issue. Not one laggy person though
-
I played on my 2.4G wifi (sorry I know it's bad but I just moved into my new house and haven't wired it up yet) and had zero issues.

1 ReplyEdited by 10mm Socket (Timelost): 7/30/2017 4:54:28 PMI met only 1 person who was lagging and it was blatantly apparent that it was on their end because nobody else was lagging. It was only minor lag BTW I did get error code : Moose While in the strike once
-
Honestly can say I didn't have any problems with that.

4 RepliesEdited by Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 7/30/2017 2:47:21 PMProgressively worse. It starts out decent in-game then gets worse as the game goes. Same for a session and it also applies for each day of the beta. But I'll give em a pass on the beta testing days during the extended period. Won't ever give em a pass for hiding connection status of players in game. It's a move made that is deliberately anti-gamer and doesn't get nearly as much coverage on this site because it's such a black and white change very few 'fanboys' can defend.

1 ReplyHad one match where someone teleported everywhere. Outside that not sure if the weapons are inconsistent or there's a strange lag going on
-
1 ReplyJust like D1, started great, played maybe 5 games, felt great. THEN sbmm kicked in and I started matching teleporting Italians n Kuwaitis, can't bear it. Tried every day after, straight into red bar lobbies from Italy Kuwait and Saudi. Cancelled my pre order as I can't face more years of that. Have since re-pre ordered and I'm just not going to touch PvP ever. If pve isn't fulfilling I'll buy the new cod n ditch destiny

1 ReplyIt was great for me. That being said i have 500 up & down

5 RepliesI was in the middle east during the beta. Anybody I saw with a uae or q8 clan tag meant that I was going to be fighting time lords, as Jez would say.

I only got the Bungie fruit salad once so I guess its fine.

You made the penis poll wrong. Too many options.

It seemed about the same although now masked by no connection bars.
