The Destiny 2 beta has 2.5/5 stars on Xbox store.
Lmao.
This is what happens when you make a team shot oriented game with a slow TTK, slow supers, and a very boring game.
Bungie please wake up, this beta should show you that your community doesn't want to play a game with a slower TTK than Halo.
They don't want to play a game where you have to team shot every single person you see.
They want to have FUN. Stop taking the fun away.
Edit- We are apparently trending, so maybe someone over at bungie will actually look into this.

It could be anything from legitimate things to size of the beta. I mean, the size of the beta is not really something I would lower the rating because of - I feel like a lot of people do though, as if they expected it to have enough new content to fill a weekend.

3 RepliesSince when was destiny a team based game? While you did need a group to do activities you never needed a friend or teammate to help you shoot at the same target (pvp) to get the kill. People are confusing team based and group activities. Overwatch is a real team based where you need x player to help you kill y player sometimes. Where you need x player to heal you so you can go after y player. Destiny was never like that nor is it what we want.

3 RepliesUuuh...halo actually has a slower ttk. If you've played gears of war that ttk is even slower aside from gnasher and power weapons. People are just impatient and can't stand waiting that billionth more of a second to kill someone...it's almost as if people don't realize how 4v4 team games are meant to be played :/

The thing that really pisses me off about this is that the mechanics were THE ONE THING that people universally praised in d1. With all the other problems (and there were dozens and dozens) that was the ONE THING they got right. And for the sequel they decide to just ignore everybody and shit all over it. They should have sat down and said ok everybody what is the best thing we have going? MECHANICS! Ok we're keeping that EXACTLY the same, now what can we improve? It shows a fundamental lack of respect for the players, an entitled douche attitude from every one of them, and a sheer lack of intelligence to willingly destroy the best parts of your game to please a minority of people. Serious changes are needed in every ranking postition before it's too late, it's a shame we've lost the old Bungie. They were once a phenomenal and caring company. All the real Bungie employees are gone now and this is the bullshit we get. Ruining the reputation of this company across the board.

I dislike the actual game mechanics. But only because I'm a FPS critic. I'm tired of load times, kill times, KD, cooldowns, etc. The only reason I'm possibly getting the game is to play with friends.

Pity most of that following don't actually play Destiny at all. I literally started LMAO when I confirmed what you said about the 2.5 rating. Basically they've made a game for the top 6 destiny streamers and that's it. A game where they can take their regular fireteam of fellow streamers into an arean and stream themselves wrecking bands of solo players or stream themselves calling for nerfs when they come up against teams of real sweats who wipe the floor with them. To be fair to these streamers. They are simply acting up to entertain their audiences and would actually probably prefer if the nerfs they called for were not implemented because then they can make more entertaining streams where they get to swear and complain a lot more. It's entirely Bungies fault that they took what is essentially cheap entertainment and acted on it like it was somehow representative of their actual player base.

It should of addressed the flaws and bits people did complain about like the ohk stickies ruining the game and special ammo nerf not changed the game to another game with d1 elements! Tbh I do like it but I love d1 more even with its flaws they really better fix it up!

4 RepliesProblem is they can't stop the train and reverse everything now. Its too late. I won't be buying either. Maybe once its on sale a year from now as GOTY bundle. The weapon system change to Halo style and lack of supers/abilities took away what made Destiny, Destiny. Literally ruined. If I wanted to play COD/Halo I would go buy those games. They do it better then Destiny.

I played the Beta one time and can't bring myself to play it again because it's that bad. Swapping characters abilities? My Titan shouldn't [b](ever)[/b] feel like a hunter in his super or anything at all. This is pure lazy development and the game has been worked on for almost 10 years. I wanted to believe this company was going to make improvements in this game this time around. Instead they decided to rip the core of the game out and said, Here ya go! We made improvements. Bungie? Signing a contract with Activision was your #1 mistake, but to not at least try to keep with the concept of the game is destroying it.

1 ReplyIt might say "beta" but his far into development you can consider nothing more than an early game demo. It's too late to make any changes to the fundamental gameplay. At this point they can only tweak small things, not the entirety of the core mechanics that they've set up. Hopefully it's just for the lolz.... hopefully

I have seen both edges of this blade; where a game will have 5/5 but turns out to be garbage, or where it will get 1/5 because players are pissy (e.g. the game was delayed | South Park: Fractured But Whole comes to mind). If the justification is "but I played the beta and it was just [url=https://media.tenor.com/images/6ea8275b0dda1122bbacc474416d34da/tenor.gif]turrible[/url]" then I must point out that beta tests are just that, tests. They are a sample of the game commonly used to identify bugs or put stress on systems. They almost always result in changes to the full game. The past decade has warped the meaning of beta tests into some sort of game demo which I find gross and misleading. D2 was more of a beta test than what D1 released for its beta; sampling two flavors of PvP and two of PvE to get a nice set of data to analyze.

It's only slow to people who prefer fast paced games and have a lot of gear in d1 that increase ability recharge rates. Perhaps the people who complaint about ability recharge without thinking about why it feels slower are the ones who need to wake up.

Then 25% of it was " lol expansion" The only actual good 1 stars I saw were because they literally couldn't get in due to error codes. Then again, most of the 5 stars are just nothing but praise or just spite of the one stars. I give it a 3, because while I understand it's already been changed, this is not the destiny I'm up for. 7m30s for a super? I understand we are T0, but did you have to neuter the super bonus from kills too?
