For me, it's PvP still being a laggy mess due to sbmm bands, matching people from all over the world. For the love of God I hope they regionalise it better

not a fear, but an expectation...it will bring a new level of disappointment and failure

That they maintain the grouped subclass perk trees as seen in the gameplay reveal. Each of us has our own way of playing and it's fun to mix and match and try out all kinds of load outs. But there are some perks I never use and some perks that I use all the time, so to be forced to choose a whole set of perks instead of giving me the freedom to customize as i see fit is a great disappointment. If the aim is to simplify matters for casual gamers they could simply include the choice to toggle between an advanced customisation mode (giving us full freedom) v/s basic grouped perk set (for the casuals).

2 RepliesEdited by No Weyloran: 6/8/2017 12:22:25 PMThe game will purposely ship with a lower amount of content. And destinations (excluding EDZ) will be the same sizes as the planets and moon in D1 are.

I just don't want to have to play PvP for any quests, ever. Don't Make me play it when I don't want to to get certain rewards. Also, I'd like the story to actually exist.
-
My worst fears are almost confirmed. P2P ( If you believe their new potato server 2.0 will work as dedicated servers, you're delusional) and no permabans for cronusmax script users (because bungie loves a cheater).
-
I don't want destiny 2 to be too weapon focused. I like destiny because its different. Also I don't want the weapon effectiveness to be nerfed to increase balance. When all weapons are strong, they are balanced.

6 RepliesMy biggest fear is that I've wasted my time playing Destiny 1. That instead of expanding on what made Destiny special and unique, Bungie are dumbing the content down. Thereby creating a game not for the people that have stuck with and supported Destiny for 2.5 years, but instead trying to bring back a group of people that didn't enjoy, or never played the first game. The new weapon and subclass systems, and the slowed down PvP gameplay feel like they're geared towards new players, and not the veterans. Destiny 2 feels like Bungie's attempt at cashing in on new players, and not growing alongside and supporting the community that Destiny 1 has cultivated. But hey, what do I know?

The peer connect shit.

Edited by ricstar: 6/7/2017 7:52:49 PMPvP without doubt, just been playing it and its as if the players I'm shooting at are in a different place too much lag. So pissed off with this game not sure if im gonna even bother with D2.You know they will ruin PvE as well so whats the point. The changes they done to D1 have ruined the enjoyment altogether, you cant now do some missions on your own you could before juts so disapointed with it all,not that Bungie care what I say I've not got a YouTube channel. Edit. So I'm checking out my characters progress or swapping weapons and that all closes so I can watch a -blam!-ing black screen with a shitty hexagon in the lower corner and cant do -blam!- all till its loaded?, for -blam!-s sake Bungie learn to code so we can do more than one thing. I just wanna alter my characters. How many of you have said " what the -blam!- am I stuck on " pretty sure I should be able to walk over a step or rock on the ground. Whats this "blam!" Shit in my post I'm old enough to swear you know Bungie you dont have to edit me, I'm pissed at you as it is.

4 RepliesI'm afraid that Year 5 will make Year 4 useless. And they'll slowly rehash old Year 4 content over the course of Year 6. I want them to actually innovate and add something new to the table, such as space battles, clan bases, or guardian living quarters. If they make old content useless and rehash it more than a year later, they're not adding anything new. Expansions are called 'expansions' for a reason. They should expand the game, but instead, they replace old content by making it useless.

I'm not worried , I just don't want to feel like I've flushed 50 odd quid down the toilet two weeks after release. I think my Mrs will have something to say if , come November I say " Destiny is shit so I'm buying the new CoD".

Reduced customization (it's literally impossible for restrictions to provide more freedom) and the same tedious end game loop (which all signs point to no change and the strike only serves to highlight that).

Another million weapon balances

My fear of Destiny 2 would be the lack of how compelling the story is... I want the story to be so captivating that I want to quit my job and never return to the outside world. My other fear of Destiny 2 would be the lack of loot. Just because a Cayde said, "Oh, and there will be a lot of loot!" doesn't mean poop to me unless I see it for myself.. Just saying. Overall - I am sure the game will be fun unlike Runescape lol and I am going to buy it anyways regardless of everyones review..

People crying for nerfs

The eventual cry for nerfs from players here on Bnet

Edited by Idiss: 6/7/2017 4:10:48 PMThat they destroy my voidwalker and make it completely useless due to pre made perk choices. They literally took out subclass customization and gave you pre made cookie cutters to choose from. At least they did ok with the perk combinations, but seriously, what if I want my throwing knifes back after a headshot and 6 shots in my golden gun. Destiny one can do it, why can't destiny 2 do it? Shouldn't we move forwards and not backwards? (Well we can't get 6 golden gun shots but I can choose each individual boost for each ability independently of each other in dest in one but will not be able to do so in destiny 2.)
-
That it will just be a dlc/expansion for destiny one. I am fine with that but its hard to do new things in the genre
-
4 Replies4 vs 4 I am so skeptical. I want it to be casual and not super competitive.
-
My only concern is how much time they'll dedicate to PvP. It ruins the balancing for PvE because every one gets killed by one weapon and they produce butthurt salt that causes weapons to suffer in pve. Separate the 2 and only nerf for pvp and it shall be a fun game.
-
I'm also worried about PvP, my main concern is the heavy ammo that drops just about straight away, ok only 1 person can grab it, but what happens if that player has a rocket launcher equipped? He/she will simply destroy the opposition with ease.
