Not really, they were still relevent as they were at the current level.

Weaker doesnt equal useless. The gear was brought forward following year 1, whether you opt to use it is on you.

Fair enough, but each update basically made everything useless in some form of nerf. Especially exotics. Most of them are little better than blues now both in PvP and PvE

Once again weaker doesn't equal useless, you're reaching to try to make a point. On top of that the main point is how none of our items are carrying forward, something that hasn't been a thing since TTK.

Well In reality ttk was the last significant update. The rest were just nerfs. ROI was just 4 missions and fallen with shaders... Oh and nerfs

ROI was still an update and Bungie could have opted to make all of our year 2 stuff to be left in year 2, much like in year 1.

If the weapon is available to be used at the current light level then its not irrelevant. You not being able to use a weapon doesnt make it irrelevant.

Actually no. You not being able to use the weapon is due to your individual abilty, not the weapon itself being unusable. In other words other people can use the weapon just fine you just cant seem to use it

I can't use them because they were nerffed to the ground. Simple fact. It is what it is. The fact is you can be shocked that they will not let you transfer your destiny 1 gear to destiny 2, but with their history of making things irrelevant is not a shock to me.
