Buff back Tripmine and Throwing Knife

Such an uncalled for nerf. Sticky grenades will curve to stick to enemy and one shot them. Tripmine u actually have to aim. Throwing knife takes skill to use and not one person complained about throwing knife being op lol. Bungie said gunslingers kd was too high in 6v6 playlists, so they had to nerf them. Gunslingers have no overshield, no extended melee, no damage reduction during super, no shadestep evade or blink. If you don't use bones of eao the maneuverability is weak. The only thing good on gunslinger is the increased stability and reload after a kill (can stack up to 3x). And a super accurate super, but no damage resistance. Just buff throwing knife and tripmine back where it was, that's it.

  • No extended melee? WTH do you call the throwing knife? It has the best range & is the only melee that can crit.

    • Yeah it should totally go back to being a sticky nade that if you totally miss.. no worries you might still get a 1 shot for it 5 min later GTFO, at a time that was the most broken nade ever in the game, it was a sticky nade + a juiced up lightning nade put together

          • exactly. they pretty much killed the two defining features of the subclass based on a sixes K/D. if we want to base everything on sixes K/Ds thats fine by me. it would just mean that stormcaller would have to get nerfed into the ground if not removed. [spoiler]dont take the above statement as a nerf cry to stormcaller. i don't think it needs to be nerfed, but i can guarantee you it has taken gunslinger's spot for the top sixes K/D. so by bungie logic it should be nerfed. but i don't think it should be[/spoiler]

            • I still make it work, it's more of a challenge, but real gunslingers make it work. Although a buff would not be frowned upon either

Also, tripmines were very dominant back then when swarm grenades were the least powerful grenade.

                      • Out of all the nerfs since day 1 the throwing knife nerf was the most bewildering. It came from no where and made Hunters weaker the GS neutral game just about useless. When you have your GG activated and I can kill you with my warlock melee something is wrong. A throwing knife would have stopped me in my trackes back in the day but not any more. This is coming from a Warlock main that has played a lot of Hunter as well. Hunter neutral game is the weakest in destiny.

                      • Can sombody please remind me what happend, because i just thought it was an aquirisation thing which should be no problem if it takes the skill that you claim, but techincly throwing knife is a projectile which is basicly an extended melee and was revamped which is reasoning for nerfing it or whatever. Tripmines can also clad really easily by beaming it into someone and it taking out the person infront of it. Sunsingers also have no evade as well. id rather Tripmine be unique the way it is then to make it only attach to surfaces like spikes and lightning with a better chance at getting the kill which it can already do alone. it would be cool though if the Ahamkara Spines or whatever gave you improved lazer tripmines like in the cosmodrome wall or if that dumb dubble skip charge thing had a passive node instead giving you a slowing mine in place of the melee like in PoE that could distort and slow enemies instead. Another alternative to Ahamkaras Spines would to be to give the user Tripods that destroy projectiles similar to the trophy system in CoD instead because it would add another cool role to the subclass and i think it would be a beneficial installation instead.

                      • Good luck trying to get people to back you. Hunter have become close to useless because when we finally got to the point where we could compete in crucible we got a nerf hammer that made is useless an its stupid as hell.

                        • I agree 100% at least regarding tripmines. I'm tired of placing one and having everybody tank it regardless of armor or how close they are to it. In one trials match yesterday I had 3 separate occasions in which they tanked it and won the round as a result
