first place should always get a legendary reward in crucible
title. the first place person should be guaranteed a legendary, but there should still be the chance of people below to get rewarded in order to cater to bungie's love of casuals.
im sick of grinding classic playlists for hours on end for several weekends and watching as people at the bottom of the board get eyaslunas even though i win most of the games.
[b][i]IMPORTANT EDIT PLEASE READ:[/i][/b] at least a higher chance for top of the board. and maybe only in non-obj playlists to avoid people overplaying the objective or not playing it properly.

what do you think this forum is for? christmas cookie baking recipes? no dude, its a forum to discuss the video game. people will make suggestions and have opinions regarding the video game. if anyone in this thread accuses another individual of crying or whining or feeling entitled or, god forbid, [i]maining a class,[/i] they really need to reevaluate what the forum is intended to be used for. if you disagree with someone thats fine, there's no problem with having an opinion, but dont be an ass about it.

Don't grind with this game. I know everyone thinks that you need to do something a bazillion times to get what they want (yes chances are increased. I understand math), but I've noticed it's when I DON'T grind that I tend to get something good. Play casually. I know that's a bad word here, but just try it. This game is way more fun when you don't obsess over it anyway. Play some other games and pepper in Destiny. F-ck the grind.

You would probably see a lot of people dropping out mid game if they realise they are not do so well. Would make teams unbalanced.

Meh. Putting on a shotgun and getting an easy first place has never made me feel deserving of any kind of special treatment.

I'd say top-scorer of the lobby deserves something. Even guaranteed motes/coins should have been a thing by now.

The game rolls on to the next round, no one gives a shit how you just did KD obviously But u r right we do need a reason to be top

1 ReplyIt's simple really. First place gets a promised reward (not saying it's legendary, just a reward), no questions asked. Then first place also has an RNG if they get a reward or not in the second slot. Everyone else simply has RNG for both slots if they get a reward. -- Basically, first place should never come out of a game with nothing. That's the only standard I would put. Be it a strange coin, or mote of light. I'm not going to pad it with promising something 'good', just the promise of something.

1 ReplyIncentivising the tryhards to try harder in a casual game won't do anyone any favors. Also, can you imagine the amount of salt pouring off of people who get dumped into matches in progress. Good luck hitting top of the boards when you're dropped into a game with 1 minute left.

2 RepliesI agree, with a slight alteration. A player should never recieve a [u]better[/u] drop than someone who played better (but can recieve the same level of reward). So if the player who performed the worst gets an exotic, everyone does.

I agree that it should be the highest chance for the person in first place and then scales down the board for the rest. Especially in Iron Banner.

I agree, but with the higher drop rate of legendaries in pve it is kind of pointless. Unless you do not play pve.

Because top scorer doesn't always mean the most valuable player. So why should they get the best rewards? The entire winning team should get a better chance at legendaries.

While I like the idea in theory, we would have a 'Rich get richer' situation. Players with more/better/weapons are more likely to win matches and be the top scoring players.
