What do you use to counter the Matador 64 herd?
I use Peruns Fire to keep them in check
Edit: It's a year 1 fusion rifle. Pretty good rolls can drop if you are willing to give the gunsmith some dough.

Out of frustration, seeing as how all my shotguns seem to be broken, and never work, even with rolls (nearly) identical to everyone else's, I gave up and deleted every single shotgun I own. Now it's just Sidearms and Fusion Rifles for me, and I gotta say, the Wormwood with a decent roll is rather consistent in dealing with those annoying, nigh-invulnerable shotgun warriors. As long as I can keep my distance, that is. Fusion rifles are alright, just not the best option in a fast paced, or unpredictable, situation. They require you to predict your opponent's movements, and plan out when to start charging. Not suitable for my lack of ability, and poor timing.

This is gonna sound ridiculous, but I've been using the Vision Stone to ward off Matadors. I dunno if it's because their screens start flinching all over the place or what, but I just spray and pray and they keep away.
