I think your slightly mistaken. Carries are a livelihood for a lot of people, and most of them carry for free as well. The way Bungie has it set up right now is fine, it gets sweatier as you progress in the card. Average people generally can get to 5 wins unless they get unlucky, so they can get some gear. I understand your trying to help people out, but I feel that it's set up all right now. The one change I would suggest is make the gold tier drop current gear. That way the worse people can get the new gear, but at the same time won't get the top tier stuff. Bottom line in my opinion is this though, if you are top tier in PVP, you deserve to dominate in trials. If you are worse, it's not too bad to ask for help. There's a lot of people doing carries now, it's not too hard to go get one.
